We'll see.'"

At least our cockyness as been earned through hard work at our club, not because some big money, big mouth chairman as bank rolled us to the top. Why doesnt mr Big mouth, mega bucks pay for some new food lights? Not seeing the game is bad enough but going to the tollet in the pitch black must be a health and safety issue.

I think we've come off the subject here. My prediction is Fax 18 Barrow 26.
Barrow might show Fax why their top of the league!!!

Quote: SRC "At The Shay in the NR Cup we played in our Blue/White V home strip (same at the Craven Park match). Our away kit is mostly white withy red flashes. As I understand it, it's the RFL that tells the teams which kits to play in.

Also, I think you're WAY under with the attendance. As Barrow will probably bring 400+ (4 full buses plus LOTS of cars), I'd say you might be looking at 3,000.'"
]

I was basing the att on 4 x 52 seat buses and 50 cars at an average of 3 per car. which gives us an away following of 358.
We had 2100 at home against Leigh and they brought a fair few. I hope your right and we see 3k there on sunday.

I would expect that the ref can over rule on the kit situation on the day of the game. Its happened in SL a couple of times this season. But at your place it was a joke.

The kit Barrow played in in the NRC at the Shay was gine (dark blue mainly) cant see it clashing with ours.

Des doesn't put as much money as people think into the club and certainly wouldn't be in a position to splash out the £200,000 required for the floodlights. Even if he offered, the I'd rather he spent the money on a decent team than have a cr@p team and good floodlights.

As for the bollox about 'earned through hard work', what do you think it has taken to get a club from NL2 mediocrity to top of the Championship? Des got involved in the club in 2006, so it's hardly been overnight success.

Again regarding Craven Park, the club could sell up and go into a council owned stadium (indeed one was planned for the new marina complex), but that would mean selling a massive asset. You only have to look at the recent history of Fax, Widnes, Oldham, Donny etc etc to see what happens to finances when you go into a groundshare or council/commitee-owned facility.

Anyway, despite most Fax fans on this forum seem to have absolutely no respect for our club or what we have achieved so far (we obviously don't deserve it), I am looking forward to Sunday's. game I just hope ref Hewer doesn't have too much bearing on the match.

Stop talking out of your bottom.....you are on our forum to express an opinion just like us. If you bite at a few comments then thats your problem. Of course Halifax fans respect your club and they will do on Sunday.

There's been no mention of James having a broken wrist all week has there? And it's only Smith and Said that are the doubtfuls according to the paper. I know someone put he had broken his wrist after the Leigh game, but it would have been mentioned by now surely. No news is good news.

the only reason you are top of the league is cause you have played a game more really though isnt it.

i admit you have done a fantastic job to be where you are in this league but at the end of the day lets look at the facts

we have played a game less
in the big games against the other top teams this season i.e widnes and barrow we have won every one of the them.

i admit you do deserve to be where you are in the league but lets hope its a good game of rugby on sunday the whether is decent and we can both play some exciting rugby league and show why we are first and second in the league.

good luck may the best team win.

The bonus point for losing by 12 or less could well work out to be crucial in the long run, whoever wins, needs to beat their main rivals by more than 12.

Ok well thats me told, ive just been brain washed into thinking that Des was a Roman Abramvich of Rugby league and as for respect for your club goes, I really enjoyed our trip to Barrow and overnight stay and found the Barrow fans very good to get along with. looking foward to a good game on Sunday too.
