I wonder if they took some "grand final winners 2012" t shirts with them last season on finals day like the one's that read "northern rail cup 2012 winners" that they had next to the dug outs at Blackpool ?

| fev have been the best and most consistent team now for the past couple of seasons. we choked in one game against fax in final 2010. the two finals last year we were poor and got beat by the better team on the day. to win the league imo is a bigger achievement because in a one off game in a final anyone can beat anyone in this league. the investment in fev is great news and im sure if fax got the same investment you fans would welcome it with open arms too, I just hope more teams in our league get investment too. its great being a fev fan at the minute after all the doom and gloom, the club is getting better in all aspects and just one more thing to the fax faithful, fev will be even stronger on the pitch this year too!

They were promised it but it didn't arrive. Hence the scepticism.

Their just having a bit of fun and winding the Fev lads up mate, we do tend to bite a bit between us when Fax and Fev are concerned so it's easy fishing.
Personally I think Fev will be even better on the feild this year and look forward to seeing them play.
Off the field it's blatantly obvious that progress with a clear goal in mind is being made.
I just hope the powers that be can see it as it will set a precedent for the Championship clubs either for good or bad.
I am really looking forward to the new season i think we have a cracking competion.
I just have a feeling Leigh will be that bit better this year as well and will be really challenging the other sides.

| it will be a cracking comp again this year mate no doubt. im really happy with the squad at fev this year think its the strongest squad we've had for years and id be Bitterley disappointed if we didnt win owt this year with the money spent. fax will go well and be there or thereabouts as will batley and the eagles but I see the msin threat being leigh this year, only thing is with leigh is they always start well but tend to burnout at the end but if they can keep everyone fit they'll be hard to beat this year. they were out on their ass a couple of years ago so god knows where their getting the money from to sign some of the players they have at the minute. I would have probably said fax are the biggest threat but not now penkys gone , I do think he his that big a loss for u guys and it will be to leighs gain that one. all the best for the season!

| Two things for me here:
1. What went on behind the scenes at Fax when Probiz were our sponsors for a season? That makes me a little nervous as to what, financially or otherwise, he didnt see at Fax that he has subsequently seen at Fev!
2. I agree Fev have been the most consistent team and did the Championship proud in their challenege cup run.
What does worry me is if they did get in-say in place of Cas- how will their fans behave in Super League-where the stakes are even higher and disappointment at losing even greater. That violent element will have to be policed very closely when there are several thousand spectators there every week!Good luck.

| That "element" is a small minority. All clubs have them, sadly with Fev that it turned into something serious. It's worse that we need to have segregation at POR, but I do sense that time is healing that wound.
At Blackpool last year, there was no hint of animosity that I saw at all. All the Fev fans that I came across were just out for a good day out.
Let's move on...

| Swifty, we were told we weren't allowed DR only loan players as we are not twinned. Think the same applies to yourselves Fev and Eagles although they have an arrangement with some French team.

| I understand that the teams that aren't twinned aren't allowed any Dual Reg players, but that also limits the SL sides on where they can send their players
We've had DRed players from Leeds and Huddersfield (possibly Crusaders? Gil Dudson, only played the once though), Leigh have had players from Warrington and Wigan, but if Leeds can now only send their players to Hunslet, and Bradford send theirs to Dewsbury ect, doesnt that limit them as well?
Stupid system, just awaiting a press release where Nigel Wood Praises it and calls it a success

Is there a problem with this ? The effect of this is that you can only have DR players from one club - which I think is actually good, not bad. It stops abuse of the system by restricting its use. If Fax - or anyone else - decide they want a DR player for a couple of weeks, twin up and end it when the player goes back.
Sorted.

Of course. That's exactly the idea.

| I dont mean to be a stickler for detail but i cant actually see how much hes given, or who hes given it to, i also know its none of my business, but I've invested in Tetley Tea and Danish Bacon on a regular basis.
Can we be absolutely certain this injection is actual pounds and pence and not services and savings?

Not until the accounts come out - probably October 2014
