I seem to recall a lot of negative comments regarding one clubs Chairman doing just that and raising the profile of his club and the sport in general.

Our game is sick......dying even at semi-professional level.

But we can still enjoy our Championship games and make the most of what we still have.

But more professionalism and common sense both at the RFL (of course) and at our own club too (after recent events) would not go amiss.

As for Super League......forget it for Fax......it ain't going to happen, certainly not whilst the current heirarchy is in force at Red Hall.

why would they want another West Yorkshire club in an expanding Super League.Within a 20 mile radius of The Shay you allready have four of the fourteen Superl league clubs in Huddersfield, Bradford Leeds & Wakefield

But......if the current heirarchy at Red Hall was to change (as inevitably it will though possibly not as soon as most people would wish) Super League might...only might... again become a possibility for Fax.....via a reinstated promotion /relegation system).

You actually only need 4 super league clubs to vote for P & R and 75% of the vote total. However the 22 championship clubs can go quite a way to the 75% plus the board of the RFl can vote too. The problem is getting those 4 super league teams.

Scrap that, Super league teams get more than 1 vote. They get 1.66 votes each in a member meeting. Everyone else get 1 vote. Except BARLA who get 3.

You've mire potential than Huddersfield, that's for sure. I mean, a top four finish, two recent cup final appearances and season tickets at £65 would result in you pushing ten k surely. Unfortunately for SL, Davy's a fan if flogging a deaf horse.

I agree with you littlerich. What is most important is that we run a financially viable club with a healthy future, rather than chase a dream to be (lets face it) one of Super Leagues weakest sides.
Almighty cup cockups this season suggest changes need to be made in the mindset and professionalism of both players and staff at our great club.
If a moneyman comes in then great; we have an excellent facility in the Shay and im sure a competing team in SL would bring in very healthy crowds (we are a pretty big town afterall), but until this happens we should strive to enjoy supporting a well managed (and i mean that across all areas of it) club.
