I appreciate that Leeds are in the final but what a dump of a ground it is these days and its not really a ground that inspires neutrals. If we have to use a football ground cant we use something more modern ?'"
Er maybe cos its in Leeds and Leeds Rhinos are playing???
Elland Road is half decent, okay not an Old Trafford or other more modern stadiums but its got a big enough capacity without looking naff on the telly.

| Elland Road has a fantastic atmosphere, does the age of a ground matter?

That will not be a biased view then with you being a Leeds fan mate. It's out dated and to be honest a very poor ground. But it has to be held there purely because of the rhinos playing.
But please do not try and justify that it is a good ground.

| Suppose it depends what you class as a good ground. If you are expecting an IKEA, flat packed stadium such as Leigh, Doncaster, Wigan, which lacks individuality, character and more often than not, atmosphere. Give me an Elland Road, Headingley and the Shay any day of the week...complete with its overgrown trees, etc.

I can't comment on Leigh or Doncaster as I've not been, but I certainly prefer The Shay, Headingley, Cas. They have character, but the new stadiums like Hull FC have the wow factor.

Not been to the KC so cant comment. But there are few new stadiums which do give me the wow factor. The Millenium Stadium and Wembley do. But grounds like Middlesbrough, Derby and Leicester, whilst having decent facilities, dont have the individual character. Maybe its because us Yorkshire folk dont like change?

Rubbish !
Elland road is a great stadium, what exactly is it that you feel makes it is a "very poor ground" ?
Playing surface ?
Car parking ?
Access ?
Comfort ?
Facilities inside the stadium ?
And as for it being "out-dated", a quarter of the ground is quite recently a new build.
I don't understand your comment.

It's the same in the majority of the seating at The Shay.

For me Elland Road is not a comfortable ground. I have only been the once, and we sat about the half way mark, but the distance between our seat and the ones in front meant that we had to sit with our knees on our chest for the whole game, in comparison with the seats at the Galpharm a couple of weeks ago, which were very comfortable.
Apart from that Elland road is not a bad statdium
