| Quote: Fax4Life "Old news and now inaccurate ask yourself how many games did Town play at home last season compared to Fax? Plus do Fax still use that gym under the south stand?'"
How many games did FCHT play, how many games did HRLFC play, how many non 1st team games did either club play, how many training sessions did each club have?
I take it the gym is now empty of anything to do with HRLFC?

| It's not a football stadium though is it!!!!! It's a community sports stadium where rugby and football is played and should be fit for purpose.Fax have been at the Shay for 18 years. What long gone previous owners of the club allegedly did or didn't do prior to that is irrelevant.

Its a community sports stadium when it suits you.

| Incorrect. It's a community sports stadium regardless of who it suits.
The truth is if you would admit it you would love it if it was just a football stadium. After 18 years you can't get past Fax are there and it's the objection to that at the root of every post no matter how it's dressed up to look.
Who was to blame for allowing the Shay to become a dump and eyesore of the Town when only football and speedway was there?

| Jeez!
My dad's bigger than yours boll***s again!!!!
Why don't you all get over it? Both clubs have to share the facilities, end of. And one club, or the other, will always be perceived to be getting something more than the other. Why don't we just agree to disagree on who is the council's favourite, because it seems to me that it's them that are screwing the clubs over one way or another.

Well, to say I spent at least the first ten years of HRLFC playing at the Shay as a regular (home and away) I dont think you have a valid point.
As for the Shay becoming a dump - it was never owned by HTAFC so again you are just clutching at straws.

| Could everyone please check with Bubba before posting to ensure that the he agrees or the post won't be valid.
Town have been lucky to been able to have a stadium provided by the council and payed for by the community all these years because without it they would have had nothing of their own making.
That being they case how can a few supporters of a club that have taken so much from the communities finances still not be satisfied and think that they can dictate to everyone else.
Fact is although the Shay is far from being ideal, since the rugby club moved there it initially improved more in those few years than all the years previous put together.

Must all be down to Town then.
Take the credit when the Shay is improved.
"As for the Shay becoming a dump - it was never owned by HTAFC".
Abdicate any responsibility for improvements.
There's no contradiction, really there isn't.

Bubba. The simple fact is Halifax RLFC have been tenants down The Shay far longer than FC Halifax Town.

The New East stand would never have happened if Town had remained the only tenants at the ground, in fact I'm pretty sure they would have gone bust, oh hang on!

The East Stand design was initially so big to satisfy the requirements of Super League - we all know there wasnt such a requirement for the Football League. It is fair to say that CMBC would not have completed the East Stand had it not been a shared stadium but that doesnt absolve HRLFC from the historical issues. The initial funding to get the stadium up to Football League and Super League standard came from the Football Stadium Improvement Fund and was not dependent on Fax being at the Shay.
The 2nd part once again shows a complete lack of understanding. The majority of the debts which led to the demise of HTAFC were related to the East Stand development. In fact, the creditor who led the revolt and refused to accept the Administrators proposal were the steel erectors. Fax put little more than sod all into the stadium development whilst the football club struggled with the debt (partly due to the ridiculous way the development was managed by all sides).

| If the initial funding was a grant then why did the rest of the debt fall on Town's shoulders and force their demise when it was mean't to have been of mutual benefit ?

Was it not? The way some Town fans go on you would think it must be still owned by them. The grounds shortest serving tenants do seem to have very short memories though, I mean its like before 2008 never existed and we should just forget about the number of times in the past they screwed over businesses and the council(In before they tell us it was nasty Fax's fault).
