The article is simply what we already know, clearly the Bell end who obtained the letter simply passed it on to the Courier. There is simply nothing new there. The Courier deem it so important that it is simply hidden away on page five and covers simply two paragraphs.

No comment from Halifax RLFC why not? Don't care how this story about rent has come out - Fax can't bury their head in the sand ; it seems to indicate a lack of respect for the fans.

It isnt lack of respect for the Fans. Our BoD are fully aware of the great support they and the club have from the Fax fans. I dont think they have their heads in the sand. Companies, whether sporting or commercial, dont go around telling everyone how they run the business or how, what and why things are done or not done. I think too many people are believing the small group of FC idiots who are trying to cause a bit of stir to please themselves.

Cant answer that. why not ask them ? you could ask the council as well. They haven't said anything either. Someone asked for information through the Freedom of Information Act. The council supplied it. This was then given to the Courier who put on page 5 and didnt reveal anything new, not that I would expect them to, as its a rubbish paper. Anyway, the Council haven't stated why it hasnt been paid either. They may be happy with the situation, they may not be, but they aren't telling you anything either. So until one side gives a statement or announcement people can only guess,make things up, sling mud or whatever the get off on.

I don't think the board have got their heads in the sand over this at all! I'm sure they are dealing with it in the best interests of the club. All may come out in the long term, or it may not, why should they put it all in the public domain??? We have some very astute people running our club at the moment!!

If the council are n't asking for the money then, like most businesses these days, why would the club pay it?
Pretty much every business these days waits until the last minute to pay so I guess Fax are no different.

Not just businesses either, I know plenty of people who wait until final demands before paying for stuff.

If its such a big thing why hasn't anyone been asking for further FOI requests? I'd be interested to see how much money the council have been spending on The Shay if I was either tennant, as given the state of the pitch, probably not a lot.

Who are the Tennants though. I know one of them has signed a lease but the other has not?

Maybe a FOI request could find out?

Of course the council have asked for the money. The FOI requests confirm that demands were sent each month. The club previously agreed to pay in full by 31/12/13 but failed to do so. Demands are growing on Facebook and elsewhere for the council to grow a pair and step up the enforcement - several councillors are having to deal with comments on their social media accounts, and most politicians will lean in what they think is the direction most favourable to public opinion.
