I suppose with us being out we have lost interest in the NRC and I think looking at whose left NR may have lost interest too.
Only teams of worth left in are Batley and Leigh.
Lets hope for a Batley v Leigh Final,
That should bring a bigger crowd to the Shay than any other game.

I might be wrong, but does the NRC final have a stand alone weekend? I thought due to the packed fixture list the teams who made the final would have to rearrange fixtures?

If not, I may go to the final, past couple of years the NRC final tickets have been a rock bottom price, probably the cheapest admission i've paid all season both years. If thats the case and there is a prospect of a good game then I'll go.

The 8 teams remaining all have a good chance I think, Sheffield have to be the current favourites but they aren't unbeatable, Leigh, Batley, Workington, Whitehaven, Dewsbury, Swinton & Doncaster can all play well on their day. Most of those are clubs who seem to play well at home. I've not got stats available but its often said that Batley, Dewsbury, Sheffield and the Cumbrian teams favour the conditions their home ground offers. So depending on who gets who in the draw could have a big bearing on who makes the semis.

Charlie, if Leigh or Batley make the Final even if it against Sheffield I will be in the South Stand, occasionally visiting the Bar and the chip van.
If Sheffield make the final but Leigh and Batley don't I will be elsewhere.
If Sheffield get knocked out prior to the final then no matter who is there the South Stand bar and chip van will receive my patronage.
