Our crowds are the highest in the league this season that with no away support, a paltry 190 came from Fax, we often take 500 away.
We dont need a money man but have Mark Cambell, we have been in the last 3 grand finals. But you fail to mention the real reason we are light years ahead of you. We have 5 teams a clear pathway from u14 to 1st team and a successful womens team, we fund our u18s our selves to the tune of 100k and we compete with super league teams in that division and do very well. You wont like this either i know for a fact your board are seen as stuck in the 70s by the RFL just like i knew Barlow was off, your recent super league application proved this.. Your years behind

Come on guys why are we bickering again lets just enjoy what we have and show some mutual respect.

After all each club at this level has to go through with little or no recognition from anywhere else we need to stick together.

To us our own club will always come first and last but what a comp we have had this year where ALL teams and their supporters have played a part.

Id sooner be in it to be honest much better league, chance of finals every year. Let them go bust i know plenty of Cas fans and they always give me the "were super league" crap. well they used to but most have stopped going now

Its a great league i for one wouldnt want to go up with the state of super league not yet anyway

The games going bust for Super League almost every week there is a club in crisis comment from a BOD member or club official.

Maybe I'm different but when I am watching some good tough rugby league and the team playing it are wearing a Fev shirt or an Eagles shirt or whatever shirt why not think "what a cracking try, tackle, break etc".
I enjoy it a lot more now than when I would be beating myself up after Fax had been beaten that's for sure.
I can't wait for Sunday it may not be my team on the field but it's our league on show to fly the flag for us.

As an aside if Barlow has gone, with Godwin going to Fax, then assuming Fax can sign another big lad (say Fielden) do you think that the balance of the Fax 2013 side would be better or worse, because for me this would make Fax a stronger team for next year.

And if you then assume that Barlow would end up in SL sooner rather than later then for me all of this looks like good business by Fax, get a decent half back/hooker and a replacement prop +25k for a player you are likely to lose in say 12 months time anyway.

And if I remember correctly isn't Fielden a Fax lad?

He is but is another injury prone player would rather keep Sam who is younger and has more years left in him.

Neil, if you were guaranteed to keep Sam for more than 2 years then I agree withg you (I would have been happy to have seen Fev sign him).

As for Fielden if you got him on a pay-as-you-play contract I would think that would be a good deal (would be happy with that for Fev BTW). However I use Fielden as an example, in that whoever Fax sign as a replacement for Sam (assuming he is going) then if his replacement is a decent standard I think the overall balance of the Fax squad looks better with Godwin.
