| Some people on here need to get a grip - of the teams above us in the league we've beaten all but Toulouse, albeit 2 in the cup rather than the league, and only lost by 6 points to Toulouse away. The only real disaster we've had was the Widnes game. If anyone on here went to the Saints game, and can say the team doesn't play for Grix then I must have been at a different game. Individual players have been guilty of some stupid mistakes which have cost us in terms of results - Grix has the team set up to play good, entertaining rugby, and sometimes that does lead to mistakes, especially when confidence dips after a couple of disappointing results. Personally I'd rather go to a game where we set out to try and play this brand of rugby than watch some of the mind numbingly boring stuff we often used to endure with Harrison and Marshall.

| I'm surprised how many people are taking a 6 point loss against the worst Toulouse team in nearly a decade as some sort of moral victory.

| It's his lack of ownership. He just brushes it all off and that is what hurts. Give me even someline aston who at least cares.

| This reminds me of years ago before the internet when lads used to sit in the cabins on building sites reading the sun and star papers “ headline Grix out “ with an edited picture of him laughing . Think it’s time for me to turn to page three for a while see if I can find some bigger tits . Over and out .

While people on here don't seem to agree on many things - that Aston is probably the biggest a******e in the championship is probably one they do.

| I for one don’t agree that Grix should go. He has been our best coach in years. Also, who would replace him. Look at he Bulls. When JK was sacked it took them ages to appoint Dunning. Who has now been replaced by Greenwood as temp coach and doesn’t want the full time job (due to his full job out of RL)
Although the Bulls are no longer a big SL team and are a mid table championship side their name still carries some quedos yet no one of any well known name (that we know of) applied for the job and who has applied for the new roll? I think we are OK with Grix at the moment. When he is interviewed his style is to be calm and measured. I’m sure on the training field he is as loud and passionate about the game and Halifax Panthers as anyone of us. I’m glad he’s not Ashton.

| Dropping Dorro constantly when by far the best forward signing he made
chosing to play Maher who is shocking to put it politely
plenty of reasons he is not good enough

| I've never known a coach have such a lack of knowledge or belief in the forward signings he's made.

Its just a really strange situation, Springer has been discussed to death on here but you don't have to watch him for more than a couple of games to see that he can look a bit lazy so when all of a sudden it comes out that he is also lazy in training it's not really a big shock is it? What he does give you though with his size and power is somebody who is capable of producing offloads for fun and getting your team on the front foot. Ironically it's something we have lacked throughout Grix reign. The King situation was equally bizzare as someone who can look so good playing for another team is suddenly made out to be a bit of a scapegoat and ends up asking to leave as he can no longer play under Grix. Doro is obviously very raw, you can see that how he plays but its easy to see the potential is there but again he has been made to be the fall guy with more rumors of a lazy player and will likely leave come the end of the season if we don't have a change of coach.
Who is doing research on these players? I would imagine Grix has a lot of respect through the British game but something is not quite right when so many players are brought in by a coach and then basically declared "not good enough".
Lets not forget though on the flip side Keyes, Jouffret, Gee, Lannon, Walmsley he has also brought in some tremendous talent that has allowed us to play some really good rugby. I think he has a big ask to turn it around from this point although a trip to Wembley would likely save him if the league form continued to be iffy. In all my time watching Fax I can't remember a coach turning it around from this point and the closest I can think of was Matt calland who did seem to divide the fanbase but eventually did go.
Just to mention Aston, I think we all agree as an opposition coach he comes acrross as an but as a coach he seems to have the knack of getting the best out of players and has done wonders at Sheffield. I just couldn't see us been in 6th place if he were in charge though and that is the biggest issue I have at the moment, I think we have under performed massively and given how bad Toulouse have been we really should have walked 2nd place this year if we were to improve on last season like a lot of us expected. As it is it has been an error strewn and indisciplined season with the discipline issue another legacy of Grix's reign and something he has not been able to do anything about.

| Grix interview now up on FB and he sounds defeated and says we are way off the standards that we tried to set at the beginning of the season. Next step after this is usually going off on the players in an interview.
Didn't realise Pickersgill didn't even get on. Questions need to be asked about that signing as well.

| Yes it looks like o'brien will be joining us on loan with a view to a longer stay. I did hear that we are trying to get him on a permanent deal for next year replacing wood. But as much as i rate him as a hooker i do not think he would be a good half back and neither is wood so i find this signing a bit strange considering the players we already have who can play 9 basically we need a halfback while Joe is out injured.
