I'm really surprised he's not gone to a championship club - definitely good enough in my opinion especially when you include his goalkicking. Thought he'd probably end up at Bradford or back at York. He was still contracted to Fax for next year - hope we're not having to subsidise the move so we can bring in a replacement.

In my opinion a top class League 1 player or a bottom end Championship player Robinson. His views and attitude seem to be opposite of what Grix looks for in a player so this really is no surprise. If his contract had run out then you could dress it up as one of those things but given he has a year left its a very clear push out the door.

Happy with that signing. He was a standout at Haven.

Welcome louis its getting hard to keep up with all these signings. For me Connor could have done a good job for us but i see louis as a better player and if can replicate is form from last season it should be very entertaining for us fans to watch. As for Connor what are these views and attitude that seam to be a problem did he not have them when he last played for us and if so whey sign him a second time.

Fair enough. I just wondered if he had similar opinions to another former player of ours who is at the club he is apparently signing for and was that the problem.

The way I see it is one way or another fax seem to be in a better financial position this time round , I watched the Halifax Sheffield game just before lockdown 2020 the team is vastly different , I’m not sure how many signings Grix has made since then but it’s roughly around the 20 mark , I think a combination of covid and some savvy managing of the business side of things as put us in a better place pre covid .

It feels like all the stars are aligning through circumstances and good management and we can now pick better players than previous years , as regards Robinson I think it’s unfair to judge him he was really unlucky to have an injury and covid and I can sympathise with his frustration.

Grix must be like a kid in a sweet shop with the signings made but I imagine the pressure will be ramped up this season, we over achieved last season finishing 3rd , any lower than that this season and some fans will call for his head such is the fickleness of fans nowadays.

I would like to see a couple more big lads signing then I believe we have a complete side .

I wouldn’t envy picking a 17 man squad out of what he will have at his disposal and keeping everyone happy will be a challenge, an intriguing season awaits and a true measure of grixs’ coaching prowess is at hand .
