| Quote: Bull Mania "Just regarding the clock, the ref stopped it because when we scored the fax player inexplicably threw the ball away. If he hadn't i don't think we'd have even got to the kick-off, as you rightly said, the clocks meant to run for at least a minute.
Good assessment from OP. Honestly if we had have nicked it at the end i think it would have been an undeserved win. Thought you guys tried your best to keep us in the game. Knock-on-athon i think is the saying.'"
Thanks, that explains it for the clock.
Poor ball retention in a lot of games all season.
A couple of examples.
At Oldham for knock on's, 22 in the first half alone evenly split across the sides.
At Fev in the cup by coughing the ball up we had done about 470 odd tackles by the 70th minute when I watched it back.

| A win is a win and until the last 3 mins we never looked under threat of losing today.
Some fans feel we should have won by more but for me beating the Bulls at home again (no defeats in 3 games) and for winning for the sixth time in 9 games is fantastic! Come on this is the once mighty Bulls the darlings of the media cos they have more fans than the likes of us!!!

Black Backgrounds/Animal.gif My Humble Opinion Only - let the knockers begin.

| As has been mentioned 2 points is always welcome, however I cannot help but have flashbacks to the pre season when fax had to cut its cloth accordingly'
In hindsight (always with a glass half full), RM ventured to stress he would be using the experienced guys to help bolster the coaching, from reading the reports every week the attacking/ finishing guys are not doing their job, I constantly read we knocked on, have no idea on how to put the ball over the line, are clueless in the oppos'22 excetera excetera.
A coach can only do the work during the week, once the thirteen are over the white line he is more or less powerless to affect things, but is that not what the senior players should be doing on the park, guiding encouraging, reprimanding?
Or did I read it all wrong and RM runs a democratic ship as long as people do as their told, again rumours about players being told they will do this, that or the other or there is the door.
We as fans do not have a right to know what RM says behind closed doors every time but some clear guidance as to what is happening will go a long way to appease disgruntled fans.
As always just my thought and humble opinion.

| Good to get the win as nailbiting as the last few minutes were!! Listening to some middle aged Bulls fans who seemed to want to start an argument with anyone in blue and white you'd have thought they'd won - they were smug and you'd have thought they were in the top two not bottom way they talked all I thought was wow you're so mighty you're clinging to a technicality to save you if you're so awesome won't you walk league one so what's one season down there to you???

| I was getting worried at the end. Even the last play thought the bulls could of snatched it. Thought we did enough to win. Sharp was excellent. Worrincy has a lot of critics but he did some fantastic carries for the team and saved a try.
Big game next week.

| I think Bradford fans have some right to be smug after the game. We are battling for the top 4 and in my opinion they are the worst team in the league and although we never really thought we were going to lose the game should have been done and dusted by half time. I do wonder if Richard Marshall is setting the bar far too low for the players especially when listening to his interview after the game where he said he thought we were very good in the first half. Well we were pretty good in defence in all fairness but Bradford had nothing to offer missing their main players but in attack we were average to say the least. We must have bombed about 3 or 4 tries and once again put the ball down a hell of a lot in good conditions, not because of the quality of the defence, but simple unforced errors from poor basic skills.
I guess a coach at this level should not really have to be teaching players basic skills but in that respect at times we leave a lot to be desired. I think one more try in the 1st half their heads would have dropped and we could have run up a big score. As for the players I thought Sharp was superb as always, I thought Worrincy had a solid game on his return, I thought Wood had a good 1st half but was anonymous in the 2nd. Moore was especially good again and as much as I like Kaye's enthusiasm it was plain for all to see that our attack died a death when he came on and we lost a lot of momentum. I thought most of the forwards went ok but I expected more playing a bunch of kids but it all comes back to how much ball we put down.
By hook or by crook though next week is now massive, if we lose its done barring a miracle but if we can manage a win then given the remaining fixtures we would be favourites to make the 4. All on.

Not sure on the running of things but with the likes of Murrell and Grix in the side you would have thought their experience would be an asset to any coach and I think you can see them step up to the plate during games.
Our defence had some questions against it earlier in the season and has improved to be the second best in the division from the latest table whereas our attack is the worst of the top 5 clubs by some margin.

I thought I saw a difference yesterday in the attack with some good offloads and second phase, the attacking lines looked to be a bit deeper angles coming on to the ball with more pace with less of the flat pass, we did still put some ball down but at least we were trying to run the ball.

| Big game for you lads on Saturday.
If you lose, prospects of the top four look bleak.

I too thought Halifax played some good rugby, some excellent lines were ran by the dummy runners. The HB had the option of an inside runner, a flat ball or passing it around the back. The problem was the execution. If some of those passes had have stuck (on another day all would have stuck), Fax would have had 3 or 4 more tries.

Yep and more options for the attack mean more questions for the defence which has been lacking.
We have looked slow getting the pass away from dummy half in a lot of games and playing too much flat pass close to the line, it leaves no margin for error which has led to a few interceptions and contributed to the knock on problem, by the time the receiver has got the ball he has either slightly overrun it and puts it down having to stretch back or has little control with a loose carry and puts it down when he gets clattered by the defensive line being in his face due to our slowness.
When Andy O'Brien had a run with us you could tell the difference, much quicker and better because of it.
Young Brandon Moore is improving all the time and will be a good one for us as he gains experience.
