im just totally fed up of hearing 'KH for the job' everytime we lose a game, that is all

Martin Crompton would be the obvious choice if he is still out of a job. KH would get more out of this team we have than MC and ive no doubt of that.

I'd say that you can well and truly forget about Karl Harrison anytime in the near future. Its obvious that he is motivated by the pleasure of achievement at one of the lesser clubs (I don't mind labelling us as that, we are relatively small). Des Johnston has repeatedly offered him absolutely ridiculous sums of money to join Barrow, and he's turned him down on every occasion. Anyway, the guy deserves a SL coaching position - in reality he's too good for this level.

He is a good coach, yes we would welcome him at Fax he is a legend here but why would he come right now?
Only for more money and yes not being arrogant a bigger club but Batley are going well and there is no pressure on him there really.
But whilst I like Rhino and we all know Halifax are 'his club' something tells me we need an outsider, new blood with no Fax connections and somebody who is TOTALLY PROFESSIONAL. We need a kick ass man who makes this lot do as they are told, like if they have to turn up in the Diners suite after games they should bl*8dy well do it, not like now where just a few do whilst the rest slope off home, plus Calland does not bother to do a speech if he choses not to, why?

It's not about money, It can't be, Harrison takes not a penny from Batley. He said this publicly at a dinner at the Masonic Hall some months ago ( Guest appearances. Greg Austin, Mark Preston, Gary Lord, etc)

Correct. If he works for nowt at Batley and has turned down "supposedly" lucrative contracts at Barrow, (and lets face it who woudn't) then it's not about money. Halifax would be his dream job.

Footnote I am not in any way suggesting Callard out Harrison in. I am just stating facts.

Why stop?

If people are unhappy they are entitled to voice their opinions and one of those opinions are who they would like as a replacement coach, should Calland leave at anytime. Now if those people would like KH to be the replacement for reasons of capability and sentiment why shouldn't they say that.

Probably everyone who says KH for coach would have Brian Noble instead (he nearly was Simms assistant) but realise we can't afford that.

Doesn't harrison have a thriving business outside of rugby? if so could he give enough time to halifax rl?.
I know he wont be short changing batley but how much time does he give them?.

But at that dinner I refered to a couple of posts behind this one, he was asked whether he would like to return to Halifax and he said " You already have a coach but, if things changes, yes"

Three training sessions and game day.

Would be surprised if many teams did more than that.
