| leon, one big difference, they are returning to the kingston club after the game ( hopefully for a victory party!) instead of lining the pockets of the union club, learn the facts before you start talking cr@p!

| The whole game should be looking to use Rugby LEAGUE clubs for games. I find it ridiculous that we see finals etc being played at Union clubs. Finals should be held when possible at Rugby League clubs and helping put money back in to the game. I know Fax took some stick but they were circumstances that have been explained and it was short notice that they had to find somewhere. But Amateur Finals usually have months in advance to find a venue.
This game likely was short notice to find a venue and why they are playing at the Union club. Least they are going back to the Kingston club afterwards. Shame that its at a Union club but no doubt there are reasons. Best of luck the KXP boys and hope they make the final. Great to see so much quality talent in the area with Siddal also having won the Yorkshire Cup at 2 age groups. Would be great if Fax could and would be allowed to get these players. Sadly certain people at the RFL do not want this to happen.

| KXP under 16's played their part in a classic local derby tonight in front of an enormous crowd on Savile park losing to Siddal 8-6 in a very physical Halifax cup semi final.
Anyone missing these type of matches is missing out on the finest rugby league this country has to offer at this age group, there was four international players on the field tonight, absolute quality rugby league.
Well done to everyone who took part and played in the best spirit.

I would have added a laughing icon if i were.
Nice of you to be so gracious in defeat though, thanks. You may note that two tries to one is a winning margin, not converting either try made it a closer result, obviously. If you care to take not of the league table sometime, you'll be aware that Siddal under 16's have conceded an average of 11 points per game this season, having played everyone at least once now, some sides twice and in one match ( Normy away ) conceded 30 odd points, so do the sums for yourself sunshine, good defence wins games, even against a side like KXP with three current internationals in it. Teamwork, fitness & structure is the key my friend.
Congratulations BTW to Siddal on lifting their second trophy of the season so far, today beating Brighouse Rangers 50-0 in the Halifax cup.
Two more for them to aim at.

could you please explain to me where i have been "ungracious in defeat". If anything you are being a bad winner, suggesting that king cross park did not even deserve a try, but hey ho.
Must agree with you about the quality of the games though, and another one to treat ourselves to this week, great stuff!

This game has now been cancelled. I understand that King Cross have forfeited.
I'm not sure of the full facts, but I know that both teams have finals to play in on sunday, King Cross have three players & Siddal one player involved in England matches at Odsal next friday, how ridiculous is this, the way we're treating the players who are the future of our game ? My own lad for example trained for his Siddal team last saturday, played in the Halifax cup final on sunday, trained monday & wednesday with Bradford Bulls scholars & was scheduled to play tonight before the postponement. He'll train again on saturday, play another West Riding supplementary final on sunday and is preparing for the scholarship games which commence on 30th april having been put back a couple of weeks to allow the club season to be completed. I reckon his club side still have around five or six league matches to fulfill & they're in with a shout of winning their premier division, so obviously they want to be on top of their form. And on top of all this, the school games are in motion now, on top of their GCSE's.
We need to take better care of our players I.M.O.

In fairness to the RFL/clubs involved, they're putting the lads into summer rugby by grooming them in the way that the academy & seniors are training and if the scholars games were during the juniors regular season, they would pull rank over the juniorclubs who would then suffer by losing their better individuals & the junior fixtures would be diluted of it's quality.
I don't disagree with you Leon, but it's just too much rugby all in all.
