You're all missing the point about playing Barlow.

Once the RFL wouldn't back up his contract terms, it flung the door wide open.

Today Sam Barlow, tomorrow maybe Sam Tompkins.

It's easy to make light of it but the whole affair has opened a can of worms and a lot of clubs will be much more cautious in their dealings with players. It won't be good for the game.

Put it this way, if there'd been a Barlow incident before this Barlow incident, Barlow probably wouldn't have been playing for Halifax last night.

Lots of people are fans. Most behave with dignity.

There there, Most of them are not sour losers, there is always next year pal, You did well coming from sixth, You got 3 away games with a shared gate for taking 200 so as a club you did really well, It would have been embarrasing for you to go to the final with a maximum of 1000 fans though.

Crikey this whole Barlow things non-stop.

One point that I hope this throws up for serious debate, is the utter silliness of including these clauses in contracts in the first place. A player who legitimately moves his registration from one club to another should be allowed to play rugby for that club without restriction or anything else (cup tied being the exception of course).

Get rid of this clause and let players play

Everyone connected with the club needed this, so yes it was worth it... end of....
Sams taking one for the team here, i applaud him, and he kept his cool brilliantly last night, Sheffield are in danger of making a mountain out of a molehill, why on earth did they insist he didn't play against them, that for me is the start of the sin.

I didnt think we would get here, i know were not favourites, but im going to look forward to it and enjoy it.

2 things.

1 - Mike Riley loves this club and gives up a great deal of his time for nothing and he wears his heart on his sleeve, I just hope he gets the chance to do a celebration jig next week, I might even join him.

Agreed, Mike lives, sleeps, eats, breaths HRLFC, hes even posted on here to try inform people during troubles. I for one love to see people working on the inside showing similar passion and emotion to what we feel, we can leave the other stuff Steele and Calland, I will also add that the other week when the alarm went off Mike was quicker than most to move people onto the pitch.

He's always wanted to get onto the pitch & lived his dream !!!!

Ask him about when he kicked a goal last season, it made his day, he told me about it about three times in a ten minute period, love the guy
