I'm not too sure, think we could have spent the money on someone else. His injuries worry me, I know players come back from long term injuries, but what impact will the knee problem have on his speed ?

i agree what will a long term injury do to his speed? and think we had enough cover in the wing positions. but competition for places is always good

My concern is that we are signing somebody who is injury prone and maybe it would have been better saving the money. I would rather that we saved the money or spent it on a Halifax born Youngster and give him a chance-a wild card so to speak. However IF we do sign Paul then I welcome him but as I said I would rather see us sign Halifax Born players from another club (There plenty at various SL Academy teams) if possible.

Really not sure about this deal. I just hope we have not committed a shedload of cash on a two year deal for Paul White. It would have made better sense to take him back on a short term loan to give him a chance to show whether he is good fast and robust enough to compete at this level. The Courier says he will have a stringent medical and the club will need it! It is very rare indeed for a player (particular a back) to come back from serious injury and recreate form of a few years ago. I think the club would have been better served to have sat on the cash and wait for a better player.

Whats with all the obsession with his injury, an ACL injury (I've had 2 now, last one 2 months ago) does not mean the end of operating at 100% your potential, plenty of top sports stars have this injury and come back as strong as before, infact they often come back stronger due to the rehabilitation needed after the op and the gym work you do on your leg muscles.
