Relatively speaking very likely true but more negativity like your post hardly helps and if others think a game of rugby league does help then that’s up to them and why not.

Obviously I don't have £50,000 a year. The reserves were funded partly with funds raised by the supporters club of which I regularly contributed to. I'm not asking anyone to do owt at all just pointing out that Halifax RLFC should be just that and not a joint venture with any other club. If I can contribute in my small way I will do and it is up to others to choose how they support our club.

I am fully aware of how the funds were raised and who did it and as many, if not all on here personally contributed but there will be many who are struggling financially owing to the impact of covid.
Clearly the period running up to 2 years ago things were vastly different.
The reality of now is Fax, acting responsibly have had to readjust to the current situation just like we all have and simply can not afford to run a reserve team that you did propose and in effect ask for.

At every level Fax are a fully independent club and as such the BoD have the right to choose what arrangements they enter into regarding the running and management of the club.

To have a mutually beneficial reserves arrangement does not change their independence rather because it’s their decision actually confirms it.

Likewise any personal objections or opinions we may have on DR or loans has no relevance whatsoever to any clubs independence.

To use Dual Registration and have an 'arrangement' regarding players is hardly being independent in my book.

Any road, game day is here and at last a bit of sunshine. The pitch will be heavy but I'd have both Walmsley and Jouffret in the side. If we try to just stifle Fev we will get the same result as we did against Widnes, we've got to go for it and if we can rid ourselves of the daft mistakes and poor discipline we are more than capable of reaching the next round. Let's just hope though that the officials are better than those from last night's boxing match.

While I hope both Walmsley and Jouffret get a run once the pitches dry out, wouldn't play Walmsley today as I think he would struggle with the size of either Briscoe or Gale. May sound a bit negative but having been dropped for perceived defensive frailties against Batley , big risk both to team performance and players confidence to throw him back in against best ream in the league. I'm looking forward to today - just hope the underdogs tag inspires the team to put in a performance.

With Martin being cup tied there has to be a change, so who will go to 1.
The back 3 went well against Widnes so will he want to change that around a bit and have Salty in there?
Will it be Jouffret?
Walmsley will have to play sooner or later, would it be better in a cup tie?
