| London:-I'll start in Central London for anyone going by train. At Kings Cross Station you will find The Parcel Yard. A vast transformation of the old station parcel office this pub boasts 12 handpumps and that is only downstairs! Breakfast is served until 1145. A short walk will take you to Euston Station and The Euston Tap. A grade II listed lodge, this is one of the few remaining parts of the original 1830s station. Eight changing handpumps in here and a piece of British history. Up to Ealing now and a host of pubs outside Ealing Broadway. The Sir Michael Balcon(W) is a split level pub with the usual 'spoons fare. On St Marys Road, The Red Lion is a traditional London boozer. Opposite Ealing studios, this is a family run pub with very good food and has most Fullers ales on. Enjoy your ale, enjoy the match.

www.breelouise.pub/ is definitely worth visiting if you're near Euston. My personal favourite around that area.
Reasonable prices and 50p off your pint and £2 off some pies if you're a Camra member, student, military, teacher or emergency services employee. www.breelouise.pub/Membership.aspx

| St HELENS/PILKINGTONS. Like Saints ground, the real ale scene in St Helens has improved no end since Fax were last in town. No inventory pubs here but two Wetherspoons. The Running Horses, named after an old coaching inn on this site, is a large Lloyds type 'spoons. A better one in the town centre is The Glass House. This is one of the better Wetherspoons on two floors. Look out for the glass floor, as in Sowerby Bridge! A short walk will take you to The Turks Head (RA) on Cooper Street. This is the place to go for your real ale. In here you will find TWELVE handpumps, so a good choice of ale is guaranteed. Enjoy your ale, enjoy the match!

| The Cricketers on Peter Street isn't too shabby. St Helens CAMRA pub of the year 2014 and 2015. It's about a 15 / 20 minute walk to the ground, passing the Running Horses on the way.

| Oldham/Stalybridge:-Staly-vagas as it is known is well served by numerous pubs. The Society Rooms (W) is a good ' spoons with an enthusiastic manager who is very keen on local beers. The White House in the middle of town has a good range of beers on and is a proper pub unlike some in Stalybridge which are more like bars. The ground is up Mottram Road and is a twenty minute walk from the station. Just before the ground there is a decent pub on the right, the name of which escapes me but on my last visit was a good place to stop pre-match. But....THE place to visit is The Stalybridge Buffet Bar (RA, NI) on platform one of the railway station. Nine hand pumps on here in one of only four remaining railway buffet bars left in The UK. Do not miss this one, it is a gem! Enjoy your ale, enjoy the match.

Aye, that's the one although WhatPub has it down as closed. The Old Hunters Tavern has just been refurbished and is indeed recommended, as is Stalybridge Labour Club also on Acres Lane. Show a GBG or CAMRA membership card to gain entry here.

| Featherstone:-On my last visits to Post Office Road I have only found one pub of any interest to the real ale lover The White House on Pontefract Road at Purston. This is a small Sam Smith's pub with the usual Sams beers on. A nice tidy little pub was this. Our trips use to take in Wakefield where amongst the many watering holes we would call in at Harry's Bar down a ginnel opposite Westgate Station. All of Ossett Brewery beers on and a few others to chose from also. At Wakefield Labour Club (The Red Shed) a warm welcome awaits and 4/5 rarer beers can be had. Out of Wakefield on the way to Fev, and at Heath Common you will find The Kings Arms (NI). This is another Ossett pub but with other ales on as well. This pub is great in the summer as you can sit outside on the common as you drink your ale. A multitude of small rooms inside where good food is also served. A short drive will take you to Fev from here. Enjoy your ale, enjoy the match.
