| Quote: Haggis Fax "Great signing by the board - thank you for securing Karl Harrison as the new coach.
Should be a good 2012 - exciting times.
Meanwhile back in 2011 - there are still exciting times to be had. We have a good squad and a current coach who are within grasp of doing something magical. Just imagine winning the GF from 6th place. Any why not? There is not a team ahead of us that we should fear. Every single one of them fear Halifax RLFC.
I think we should put discussions about potential players to one side and give the current squad our full support.'"
well said!
a club getting to the final from 6th is a huge achievement in itself.....so fingers crossed. but to actually win it aswell?!
no doubt the clubs staff will be more than focused on selling 3 more big performances to the squad (all against teams we have beaten this year already) and we retain our 'champions' crown!
up the FAX!!!!!

Seems sensible,
They work well together.
Kear will want his own team.
Shame for Ball tho'
And? What about Proctor, Gonzales, Larder, Holroyd?
Will Alleycat be retained?

Its been announced that he has left his assistant position with Batley today so fair play i think he is here next year, We need to maintain the link with Damien Ball as he has been a fantastic bloke for Halifax, He has got the connections in the sports academy of Brooksbank. Lee greenwood has the connections with Siddal, all this can only help the youth pathway and hopefully get some under 18s set up as well as the under 23s

| there is no reason to change the 23's set up, Holly and MG will stay in charge.
times bring change, and i can't see bally been there next year, what a job he has done since MC left though!
we should try our best to retain dids aswell, a true club man!
Greenwoods links with Siddal could well prove fruitful, as i know the club at the minute dont have the best relationship with them.

| Given Ballys' experience in teaching, and the success he has had with Brooksbank, I would think he will be the perfect choice for running the scholarships at the club

yeah, maybe...MG's been down at the shay for many a year now. he has also had good experiance with the 1st team, and spent his younger years with king cross juniors.
will be interesting to see what happens, its Rhinos choice at the end of the day. we have a wealth of experience and quality coaches, but we cant have em all.
too many cooks and you cant afford pudding!

Think he must have been going to Accapulco for a dance. Just signed for Batley with Maun and Campbell. Think there is more to the Handforth rumour but time will tell. www.batleybulldogs.co.uk

I think Bally will end up somewhere in SL very soon at a guess. I haven't discussed the matter or opportunities at SL with him, but his recent turnaround in our teams's fortunes won't have gone un-noticed within the game. Running the scholarship is a different animal to dealing with professional players totally. The majority of RL kids in his successful yr 10 Brooksbank side are scholars with SL clubs, some of them spent time with Halifax previously, some of his boys are RU players also.
Gonzales, really ought to be retained by the club as head of youth development, he has an excellent record & many of our current reserves have returned to the club to play for him.
