We're not in sheeeite - we're just not prepared to go bust like Leigh have often done in the past. Simple fact is, we don't have the financial resources to fully compete with the FT clubs so this is an attempt to bridge a gap. I'd prefer not to do it but it won't put me off going to watch my club.

Well for me if any player puts on the blue and white for Fax and gives 100% that'll do for me... We've had a few players in loan both short term and long term over the years and some have had huge impacts on the team, Flanagan, Kopzcak etc.... Nobody moaned then... As long as we don't become Hull KR'S bitch I don't see an issue and I don't think Chester or Marshall want that either... Sounds a sensible cost effective business decision to me

What a dark day for Halifax RLFC. Shame on those who have taken our great club down to this level. Fax will always be our team, we will be blue and white forever but until this shameful arrangement ends in tears as it will, and we regain our pride we are done with supporting the club. After well over fifty years of following Fax it breaks my heart to say that but you only live once so city breaks and trips to the dales for us until sense prevails. Personally I have never been a fan of DR and it has annoyed me at times when it has patently been abused. It doesn't look as though it's going to go away anytime soon and whether we like it or not we are not automatically going to be one of the top 4 sides next season. This Championship is going to be hotly contested, week in week out, and the BOD have , in my eyes, taken a pragmatic view that we haven't the funding to match our ambition and have looked at this as our only option, at this time, to try stay in touch. Ian Croad , at one of the forums kept stating that we would only do DR if it suited Fax. Not sure how it will work, only time will tell, but they are the people in charge at this time and will be proven right or wrong over the coming season. Some passionate commentary on this topic and I am saddened to see some stalwarts are voting with their feet. I will continue to support the club as I have for the last 47 years and continue to do so whether this decsion is proven to be the correct one or not.

Ok so say we get some decent players from Hull KR (not going to happen), make it in to the middle eight then all those players disappear and we get absolutely spanked for five games. No thanks.

What does Harrison's style have to do with this? We have sold out in order to get into the middle eight. But nobody seems to be answering what happens when we get into the middle eight with Hull KR. Chesters says "No way are my players playing in the same league as us" and withdraws them all. Now you are asking actual Halifax RLFC players who haven't had a game all year to step in and perform against SL teams. Fantastic ing idea.

I think you underestimate our new Head Coach. Do you really think he's left a top job at Warrington to be Chris Chesters patsy..........do me a favour.
