I spoke to Sam this aft on the phone, he said the deal was nearly done but wanted to stay at Fax, knowing Sam he'll be in a Fax shirt next season

If so, sounds like this deal is being done without his blessing and that sounds ominously like cash raising.

If true Barlow should tell the club he has signed a contract and is stopping where he is whether Fax want him to go or not. I wouldn't think your coach wants him to go would you

Sam is a professional rugby league player and therefore should of course do what is best for him, but would that be going to Salford? All their fans can talk about is "are we still in business" I can see the wheels falling off at Salford and it`s been coming for some time. If he`s going for a shot at Super League fair play but he might as well stay at Fax as to go over there.

I'd thought that when I saw the name on a shirt initiative that it smelled of let's raise some quick cash but thought it was me being cynical.

Now seeing this thread and the fact that Salford are skint themselves, so doubt they will be throwing mega bucks at us (if true) has got me thinking and slightly worried as to the reason why we'd even think about it if Sam doesn't want to go??? Are we desperate for cash?? Skint??
