Maybe a bit premature in making the comparison then if it’s only some future possibility, so until if and when it happens what’s the point of posting it then
Even then with the state of the game and what else is going on in the world today nothing about rugby league worries me one jot however things turn out.

Unsurprising really as the game that your brought about 3 or 4 loan players in for against us you actually beat us so that is going to stick in peoples memories. When we played Bradford without their loan players a few weeks later we won very comfortably.
Its also hard to compare the two situations because as of yet we have not really looked like beating anyone despite having these loan players in.

| What I'm trying to say is that people should not be so quick to take the p**s as you never know when you will be in the same position.
With our injury situation at the moment we would be struggling to put a team out without loan players. In the game these days we all need loanees.
I really don't like to see Fax in their slump at the moment, god knows we have been there and hopefully will survive. I'm sure Fax will do too. Onwards and upwards.

I'm the oppositie I think people should take the at every opportunity but don't moan when you get it back when you are in a similar situation. Would be boring without that in a rivalry.

| Anybody and everybody should indeed take the p**s out of the DR/short term loans. It is a disgrace to the game and whether you use it once or a hundred times, for one or five players you are just as guilty full stop. Last year's game against Bradford illustrated the system for what it is and the short term thinking. That one match put Bradford above Fax and ultimately cost us a play off place. Great for them but in the bigger picture the SL club's are laughing at us. As GFB says a few weeks later Fax comfortably beat the bulls without their 'guests' but the damage was done for us and the SL players had been given their workouts.

| Really can't understand why some folk get so upset about DR. It's totally irrelevant whether a player is a contracted player or loaned player, it's no more unfair than Wakey for example being able to sign better players than the rest.

| Looks like Wakey may have dropped Walmsley. They're selecting McGillvary and Olpherts. Don't think he's injured because he was in the squad. Possible return?

And with Johnstone going there as well for next season his opportunities are going to be limited. I'm sure he could do a job in SL but if he doesn't end up playing much for the rest of this season then its not going to happen. That said after the way he went about leaving Fax then you wonder if they would have him back or could even afford him back.

| Bit of a strange few weeks for Walmsley.
He was carrying a bit of a knock in the run up week to the Bradford game and was on the bench, came on late in the game and got hurt again more or less straight away and limped on to the end.
Then at home against Swinton they conceded 3 tries down his side and you could tell he looked uncomfortable with it.
Maybe he’s carrying an injury or maybe Powell has questions about his D.
Don’t think there’ll be a shortage of teams who’d take him especially from the Championship and he’s been back at the Shay for a game and mixed with players this year already or he may just go back home if Trin don’t keep him.

| Seems strange how players leave and then almost gravitate back back to the. Fax. WouldFax have him back or has he burnt his bridges by the way he left

| I think he may have had a clause in contract to say he could go if approached By a SL club. I think it was Wakey rather than him who were doing a dirty on Fax by saying they were a Super league club when they actually signed him though they were in Championship when he was approached.
It depends how the club see it and if Walmsley had any blame whether he would be welcomed back.
He still scares me silly when defending though.
I may have got this totally wrong though.

| I think what makes this conversion a bit stranger is that Walmsley is still way out front in the leading try scorers in the division but Wakefield seem to have an infactuation with signing quality wingers. No matter what we have said about Walmsley, he is a proven try scorer and that is worth a lot at any level.

| Is Johnson on loan or DR - thought it was DR but saw something on FB today saying season long loan. Grrat if true as he was brilliant on sunday behind our much maligned pack that as a group were unrecognizable from anything I've seen this season.

There’s been both DR and loan mentioned in the press and on social media.
The main difference is the recall time.
DR is usually at anytime with immediate effect, loan usually has a minimum 2 week period.
Even season long loans can have a clause which allows the parent club to call their player back after this 2 week period.
Regarding Rhinos, CJ is behind Ackers and O’Connor at Leeds and as long as they stay fit he should be with us.
Regarding Fax, we will hope to have him as long as possible, at least until Adam and Tom are fit.

| I believe Corey has been signed on loan for the rest of the season. Before we signed him up though, wasn't he loaned/dr at Bradford? In reality a season long loan whilst sounding good, nowadays means a season long loan or until his parent club want him back. He does look a very good player though on his performance against Doncaster. He also came across very well on his post match interview on the Fax Facebook.
