| It does appear that the 'senior' players in the team producing sub-par performances week in, week out, are indeed undroppable.
Tyrer, Murrell, Grix and Fairbank need to up their game. All senior players with Super League experience

| Can't disagree regarding Tyrer, Murrell and Grix, but I though Fairbank did Ok. The only problem with taking those 3 (or 4) out of the team is that we do need to retain some experience on the pitch as well. There will be dynamics in the team that we, as supporters, don't quite appreciate. I agree we need to make some changes and somehow create some "sparkle", but wholesale changes could be disastrous if we come up against a team of experienced pro's that could take advantage.

| I suppose that's why I went for evolution rather than revolution. Murrell as goalie if needed. Hopefully he won't be needed. Grix is the extra pair of hands a la Wigan style to feed a fullback attacking run.
Everyone else is on merit. But it's get a grip time. look at the reserves attacking shape because it looks exactly how the first teams should be , so whoever has sorted that probably needs to have more of a say and listened to for team selection.

| Too many players have no pace and average skill levels, note not poor skill levels just average.
I keep saying it but where is the threat going to come from.
Ideally you need players with both of the above, speed and skill but there won't be many like that in the Championship unless you find a diamond and manage to hang on to him.
After that you need one of the other, either pace or better than average skill levels and I'm worried we have either.
RM commented that the opposition would love the amount of ball we cough up when playing us but if I were the opposition I wouldn't be having sleepless nights about our threat levels at the moment.

| always been a massive advocate of tyrer - always seems to have a good attitude (a bit like ben kaye) but he has been woeful this time round. Butler in for me.
Murrell has to be in the team, yes he's slow but we have absolutely nobody else that commands the team around like he does. he's the captain for a reason.
Grix for me is wasted in the second row, id much rather see him at loose. You could see it last year that everything flowed better and quicker with him in the middle.
JWH is not a scrum half (IMO) his feet cause some damage in at centre and i'd much rather see him there - salty/clare/whoever is on the wing WILL score with him next to them (see sheffield last year with McGrath).
I keep saying the name Craven but i just love the way he plays and he is NOT getting the game time at widnes - why are we not trying to secure his services?
Fairbank i dont think has been bad at all, he's aggressive and if anyone is going to get an offload off its him.
If anyone is going to get a call up from the reserves, for me it should be cullimore and drop ben kaye. I like the looks of him and its a one of the many positions that needs an injection of pace.
..........
I think ive finished ranting now but i'll let you know!

| Depends how Fleming framed in training. close between him and Douglas for 17th spot. He needs a kick up the backside after Sunday's performance.
Time for hard changes. We have got too comfy , too soft and certainly not lean,
