The North Stand has been refurbished to a good standard with a new toilet block up in the far left hand corner so it should be able to cope with all the Sheffield fans in attendance! I hear the Skircoat is closed for the game

When Leigh beat HKR at Spotland there where about 1100 of their fans.

Leigh will bring more a week Saturday than the Fax v Fev game yesterday.

I like the Shay, and its a really tidy, traditional ground.

I think we will take 2k and will create a belting atmosphere. As already stated though, based on them figures, an attendance of under 4k is likely !

Jeff tickets only went on general sale Tuesday so no tickets sent back yet, over 2000 will travel not as high as normal but Eagles do not have the attractiveness of a Fax or Fev
They have always been something of a bogey team for us and their lack of fans dilutes the Craic

All that talk about if the south stand would be big enough for the travelling hoards of Leythers was a bit silly then wasn't it!

The last bit confuses me somewhat. For me, Eagles are playing in a cup final. I couldn't care if we were playing Brisbane or Bognor Regis, the amount of opposition fans has absolutely no relevance to weather or not I would attend a game.

Just read that North Wales Crusaders were allocated the 'central part of the Skircoat Stand' and London Skolars are to share the South Sound with Leigh. Crusaders have been getting attendances around the 1000 mark so fingers crossed they'll bring a few along. However, neither side seem to be giving it much promotion on their websites/Twitter pages. I wonder of the TV Gantry will be set up in the East Stand to avoid blocking the Crusaders fans?

I'll be coming along, but paying on the day. I'd imagine a fair few walk ups will come along on the day.

I HOPE next year its back to BLackpool, its our Magic day and needs a neutral venue IMHO, having this and the Grand Final at our grounds knocks a couple of thousand off the attendances.

Me too . I used to love going to Blackpool and I would make it a "bit of a do" mostly staying for the night and geting a box at the stadium because it was something differant. We were contacted about hospitality this time but because we had been knocked out decided against and I doubt wether I will even attend at all . It just does not hold the same magic for me even though I know the RFL are saving money by doing it I still think Blackpool is a better venue.

The clubs make virtually no money from the competition if held in Blackpool - and this is when it is contested by a combination of the three main crowd pullers Fev, Fax and Leigh. Imagine the loss if it was a Sheffield and Batley final? It's hard enough surviving as it is without going all the way to the final and getting zero cash for your efforts. It is such a shame but there it is.
