Absolutely stupid. You may remember that Sheffields last tye was on a night that England were playing and 247? or thereabouts turned up. The reason it was on the same night was that the ground wasn't available on the most suitable date and wait for it, the coach was unavailable for the second most suitable date.
Personally I have no preference for either Don Valley or Bramble Lane both are unsuitable for Rugby League.
But I do have a preference for a day and kickoff. Sunday 3.00, quite obviously neither Sheffield or the RFL are bothered about inconveniencing away supporters.
I will be there but unfortunately a lot of our regular party will be unable to.
What a way to run a club, what a way to run the game.

Aaaaaaaaaaaargh, no not Friday that has blown it for me I was banking on it being on the Sunday as I don't get back from my jollies until later that evening.
I bet Sheffield want to make it Friday so it means it is harder for our lads, they are good at doing the dirty on us, its well known Aston hates us.
Why Friday then Sheffield come on you have TWO grounds to go at?
You will get a smaller crowd too, just plain daft if you ask me.

Great, it is Sheffields loss, the gate will be 400/500 down on what it would have on the Sunday. What is the point of playing at a ground where you have to miss 8 weeks in summer for the hosts to do the pitch every year?
Yer we share the Shay but it is not taken out of action every season by our co-tenants. |

Half of nothing is nothing, Will be lucky to get a crowd of 1000 there on that date and time. after costs are taken off for stewarding etc etc wont be much left anyway, How the hell do you keep going on with crowds that you do ?. Do you receive RFL funding for being a major city and a expansion area ?. This is not a dig at the fans or sheffield as a club, purely a question.

Got no problem with player leaving the club to go on to bigger and better things, take Michael Haley at Fev for example, good luck to the lad.
The problem some of our fans have with Rob and Sam is they feel it wasn't done in the right way. To be honest I've got no problems with Sam, spoke to him a few times since he's left and he's a nice enough kid, just not the sharpest knife in the drawer and a bit of a lunatic on the pitch. He was just badly advised.
However Rob comes across as a much more intelligent bloke, and knowing the ins and outs of his move, I can see why he gets some of the stick he does.
But it's all in the past now. They're both carving out good careers for themselves. The majority of the booing is purely pantomime these days IMO, to provoke a reaction, eg when Barlow flicked the V's to us at full time when we put 50 on you in the playoffs last season
