Just watching the video and straight away ive seen a positive we can take out of yesterday............we looked pretty organised running on to the field.

I have been at all Fax's friendlies you seem to be as Fax daft as I am Leyth daft .

Having watched the game again I`m in full agreement with you.The entrance was phenomenal.

It never fails to make me chuckle when fans on the loosing side of a friendly game trot out the "well It's only a friendly" and fans on the winning see it as a precursor to league domination . I include myself in that analogy as well LOL.

For what its worth I think the leythers will hand out a lot more of those kind of beatings this season. I think they will run us very close again, with batley n sheff giving a good account of themselves.

I was somewhat disappointed in 'Fax on Sunday - they seemed a shadow of last season's side. Still, if you take forwards of the quality of Aizue, Barlow and Divorty out of the mix, the pack's lacklustre performance can be explained to a great extent. To me, you also seemed to miss the likes of Black (Handforth has always been good, but Thackray was poor at Widnes) and beswick.

I guess that highlights the dilemma for all of us - take a few key players out and sides (including us) will struggle.

Here's to more encounters like last season.

The thing is that the team we had out, at least on paper, should have been able to compete with Leigh. The worrying thing is that we didnt even get close to competing with them. The only thing i guess we can take out of it(apart from our enterance) was that we dropped the ball so much that our completion rate was horrific. Now im sure if we kept hold of the ball a lot more then the scoreline would have been closer so personally im not overly worried by the result. From reading a couple of the players tweets it looks like the players got the rounds of the kitchen with Worrincy in particular looking like he copped it, but rightly so, he looks like hes never played the game before and is doing himself a big diservice. Hopefully we can show an improvement against Hudds reserve team and it will give us chance to put some things right.

That would be why Fax struggled to get out of their own half for the whole 80 minutes then Your pack got battered on Sunday. You have plenty of players to come back in the forwards so I'm sure that will help massively but to say that the packs were evenly matched on sunday is just deluded

Yes, it was very one-sided, but on the evidence of previous Leigh v Fax games, that will count for absolutely nothing next time we meet. (Even Widnes gave us a game, third time out, last season! )
