| Quote: Haighy "How harsh? When he's being moved around every match, from 6 to 9 to 7 back to 6 then to 9, sometimes in the space of one game, it must be hard to get some form in, then he's getting stick from his own set of fans, as captain!
I still maintain that if he plays at 9, coming off the bench, Penky is our best player and one of the best in our division, he can change games in the blink of an eye. Hopefully the signing of Branighan will mean we will never see Penky at 6 again and see him in his best position of 9.'"
Very good point of which i totally agree with

Barrow for Super League 2015: |
|
| Quote: Tony Fax "And I've said this before and I'll say it again. Barrow, as well as Whitehaven and Workington, will find it very difficult to entice decent players up that neck of the woods. It'll mean having to up sticks or driving a 300 mile round journey. And joking apart, would YOU want to live in Barrow? Even the thought makes me feel queezy!'"
Hasn't put off Bauer, Luisi, Rooney, Noone, Coyle, Ballard, Allen, Roberts, Young, Catic, Ostler etc from coming here. We haven't done so bad this season seeing as no-one wants to come here
True, it's much harder and more expensive getting players here, but they do come if the set-up is right and they're enjoying their game.

Totally agree. Rotating him & Gleese at the start of the season was one of the big reasons we started so well.

I agree also. Hopefully Matt Calland will have learnt some vital lessons during 2009. Firstly, to put players where they are most effective and, secondly, to engage brain before opening mouth.

What a complete load of rubbish..........It's no coincedence that Fax's poor run of form coincided with Ben Blacks poor form is it ?

I put it more down to the loss of Matt James.
Be interesting to see how Sparra get on without Rooney, as he's bound to miss some games.

For once I agree with you about us coping. I hope we have the strength in depth come the start of the season to cope with injuries. At last seasons mid point we didn't and it cost us the treble.

And him going off injured after our first try probably cost us the grand final. had we been able to bring him back on would have made all the difference imo.
