there is little doubt about it that Gateshead are cheats, they have been cheating all season and as cheats should never prosper they should be banished from the championship and replaced by Leigh Centurions

In what way have they cheated? There money man has pulled out and that is why they are in this trouble.

Make it a 10 team comp. Leigh were so bad last year they deserve to be in the lower division for a year.

Next year make it 1 down 3 up and have a 12 team comp next year.

They didn't cheat, they will be penalised for the fact that they have gone/are going into Administration.

Agreed. However, if the RFL, in their infinite wisdom, deduct nine points from Gateshead in 2009, that would surely make them a 'relegated' team? Unless of course, the RFL, again in their infinite wisdom, decide that the 8th place team goes down, and not the 9th or 10th..............

I don't get this so bad.we finished 3rd from bottom on equal points with Batley,I can understand yours and other Fax fans saying this if we were dreadful.

The anti Leigh comments from some Fax fans amaze me because when you were in trouble I can only remember support from Leigh fans.

All we want is a fair decision and if it means staying relegated fair enough but how Gateshead can stay in the Championship is beyond me and why would you want what will be a very weak team in the Champioship.

1 down and 3 up next year is stupid,that would decimate the 1st Division, 2 down and 2 up is harsh also,it should be 1 and 1 in my opinion.

But your not "in trouble". You have been relegated due to you being poor last year. Rather than feel hard done to, it would be better to reflect on why you were poor last year and change it from CC1 and then try and come back stronger. You don't have the squad to be challenging at the top end of the CC and you would be more than likely to be in the same position next year...even with your "messiah" coaching.

Leigh would make the competition far stronger than Gateshead would. There was nowt in playing Donny last year as they appeared to lose players on a daily basis and knowing that 50+ drubbings were on the horizon did nowt to inspire the support of either team. It will be the same with Gateshead this term.

Leigh will enhance the comp with a better game and more travelling support.

Gateshead, now up the creek are the one's who ought to now take the opportunity to sort out their boardroom politics and re-structure the club in CH1!
