Looks like we're still pants though - no disrespect to Leigh, we trounced em when we were playing at the start of the season

The best thing for me about this game is the fact that we only conceded 3 trys, i would have put money on us caving in at the end when we were under pressure but we held out.
Well done Fax but remember its only 1 game, we arnt world beaters and it was only Leigh.

True Leigh are not the best but we still had to get out their and win. I think a big weight has been lifted off everybody. It likely was not pretty and we likely made some very bad mistakes in defence and attack. However least that win should do us all a power of good and have something still to aim for. IF Gateshead win tonight then we still have the chance of finishing first!
A few people including me have knocked Worrincy but he grabbed three tries today and maybe won us the game with his 3 tries. Well done mate and hope you can do the same against Toulouse.

We did it hard, but I'll take any sort of win. Its nice to be travelling home with a smile on your face and not being miserable. It was obvious it also ment a lot to the lads at the end. Defence was on top form today, held them on numerous occassions on our own line. Not so fluent in attack, but showed some glimpses, in particular shads first try in second half, do have the habit of putting ourself under pressure by silly mistakes.Can't fault the effort, looks like the team spirit has come back. One happy supporter.

as always, from our own fans, we didn't deserve our win... Especially from those fans who weren't there. Nothing like supporting your team eh. The try wasn't offside, if rob did knock on it was cancelled out by a leigh knock on for their final try.
As for the notion that it should be gateshead that go down... I too felt a soft spot for leigh, until today. They are a team of thugs, and the fans are just as bad. Threatening behaviour, throwing coins at a couple of fax pensioners - classy. The self proclaimed salmon army-minging.

I sure will mate I've also been a critic of Worrincy and it's nice to see him stick 2 fingers up at me, good on yer. Losing can be a habit and a huge burden, hopefully the guys will now turn things around. If they feel anything like I do now, they'll have a big spring in their step, this is a HUGE weight lifted!

Oh dear the old we won BUT Leigh fans are thugs routine don't bother coming next time pal and todays game was played tough by both teams.

There was a little altercation at the end of the game at the Shay versus Leigh the other week with some speccies from both sides involved.

Just on the way back it was a tense, scrapy game but a win is a win at this stage so well done fax.

We hardly had the ball in the second half so had to put in a lot of good defence.

As for the ground 16 quid in, 1.70 a bottle of coke, and a 10min delay of kick off as they have the stupid system of buying tickets before going through the turnstiles
