| Finally got around to watching a replay of the game last night and just realising how good JWH was, Fev literally could not handle him but added to that Pickersgill was safe as houses at the back and it will give Grix a massive dilema in the coming weeks with Keyes back. Lannon was quality and the best forward on the field but I thought players like Gee and Kav had really solid games as well and obviously AOB is class and just gives us so much of what we have been missing early in the season. I know Maizen was our MOM, not sure who picked that like, but again Fev were really scared every time he touched the ball and the threat of Walmsley outside of him really cut Fev open a couple of times. For Fev I know he splits opinions on here but Springer was their best player and to me its a really shame that Grix felt like he couldn't get the best out of him and he is ripping it up for one of our rivals.

| Watched the game on YouTube, Surprising how well some can raise their game when there is a blockbuster of a game up next that everyone wants to feature in.
Don’t envy SG having to give the news to the unlucky ones outside of the 17 on Thursday evening.
Up the Fax .Panthers to eat dogs.

Hmmmm ..... he certainly was a handful the first 20 and took some putting down, but I did notice he went missing in the 2nd half and wasn't half as effective - might have been clouded by a few Sunday afternoon pints! But also looking at the highlights he seemed to be plodding around in the 2nd half hence why I was surprised he stayed on.

Might be worth asking Walmsley if he thought Springer was plodding in the second half. But yeah he did seem to do a lot more minutes than he either would do normally or you would expect him to. The question is if a plodding Springer is better than some of the players we have? I can think of at least 3 players who had spells as prop for us on Sunday I would take him over.

| Maybe kept Springer on to try nullify Lannon ? I prefer a balance in forwards with different attributes and different game times.Think we've been too one dimensional for the Grix tenure.

| Wembley team pretty much the same as Sunday with Bob coming in leaving a shoot out between Flemming and Layroyer for who misses out unless Sutcliffe qualifies and he may come into the frame for a bench spot.
Going on performance against Fev LJ could have done better almost most losing us the game with a first and last set charge downs (as at Sheffiled) and more than one wild pass to no one except the pitch so he could come under some pressure when Keyes returns.
As before Woody and Keyes could go into the halves (at some point) with Pickersgill doing enough in defence and coming into the line with a nice bit of skill to put in Jake.
The 9 slot O'Brien is a certainty and I can see both sides of the argument between Brandon and Tom but Grix will go with Moore.
A side note on Springer, as per usual when he was a Fax player lining up against Fev we had them saying "not a single Fax player would get into our team" but now he's at Fev he's one of the first on the team sheet and not a single Fax player could replace him.

| Long catches everyone on the hop by not going to Warrington and instead going to Wakefield as No.2 and becomes possibly the 3rd head coach from the championship to take up 2nd in charge jobs in SL. I honestly don't blame them, likely more money and probably a bit less pressure.

| Dane Dorahy as assistant coach as well. Wonder where this leaves Craig Lingard and Muzza. Would love Muzza at Fax in some capacity maybe as second in command to Finn. Hard to say if the money is there for much in the way of support staff though.
Edit: Seems they will still both be at Cas.

Significantly less pressure, As Head Coach everything rides on you, I can't even name our assistant, yet along many others in the championship.
Would appear though that some of the SL assistant jobs are part time gigs, On a few occasions Fev's head coach has also been a part time assistant at Leeds (Ryan Carr and James Webster?)

| Richard Marshall appears to be highly respected as assistant at Warrington (and Saints before that under Wolfe). Do you think he may have applied for the Fax vacancy?
Also Danny Ward is stop gapping at Cas for the remainder of the season (doing a Sam Allardyce at Leeds U, and we know what happened there!) so could be "warming up" for a permanent comeback.
Gareth Ellis is assistant at Hull (where Grix is presumably going). Maybe he may wish to chance his arm as Head Coach?

I guess it depends on the person. I imagine Marshall would think of it as a backward step given how good his rep is as an assistant but on the other hand maybe he feels like a challenge to repair his rep as a head coach. I imagine the head coach job at Fax is quite a lonely job though and after Finn and Grix left did we even appoint anyone to help Grix like Brew mentioned above.
I think ours is already a done deal but I reckon there will be a lot of interest in the job as either a current head coach or an aspiring head coach you take one look at our squad and its pretty easy to see that we have a lot going for us.

| My only plea to BoD is not to offer long contract and take their time in appointing, unless it is a done deal! I feel the merry-go-round is still circling as far as coach jobs go.
