Well I was sat in the West Stand yesterday and apart from a old fart who must have some history with Beswick, had no problems at all. Spoke to a Leigh couple at half time who were very pleasant and complimented us on our great travelling support.

Not all Leigh fans are like this and we have seen the vocal minority at Fax games cause trouble in the past. Sadly the stewards at the LSV don't look like they could organise a bevvy in a brewery, absolute jobsworths.

In terms of the game, we didn't gift Leigh 18 points by not taking kick offs per se but we did gift them the field position in order for them to take their chances against our worryingly weak defence. The inability to catch the ball from kick off comes down to coaching. When I played, the last session before game day, the selected team ran through kick offs, where to stand and how to deal with differing kick offs. Even without that, in all standards of the game you are coached to stand deep and attack the ball, not stand forward and hurry back in desperation while the ball bounces out.

Regardless, Fax played very well in attack. Nash looks dangerous every time he gets the ball, just needs to cut out his stupid offloads sometimes. Worrincy has stepped up remarkably. If you'd have told me at the start of this year he'd have put a big hit on Nanyn, steal the ball 1on1 and run 80m to score I'd have chuckled. Now he just oozes cofidence and just looks really happy. Beswick was absolutely outstanding yesterday. I'd love to know how many tackles he made because he was absolutely everywhere and took many drives out of our own 20m to get us out of trouble. I just don't think he gets the credit he deserves.

In terms of Leigh I thought they were pretty one dimensional but effective. They missed Wobbie and the other DR players. Donlan's try was a definite try, no doubt about it, the only issue is that he should never have been given the opportunity because of our inability to catch kick offs and poor defence from Goddard (who aside had a good game).

Another aspect that needs to be coached is how to finish games off. At 46-34 we broke upfield and had a great chance to get the drop goal to deny them a bonus point and get ourselves closer to them in the league table. As it transpired we tried to play stupid rugby, threw a stupid pass and they ended up scoring on the hooter.

These aspects put the gloss off what was a good, much deserved and much needed win.

Yup, Head Steward came up the stand at one point and was laughing and joking with them, clearly his mates.

Me and the lad went to game, got there early had a pint in the stadium bar, watched Lampard miss a penalty and then watched some champagne rugby from Fax.

Leigh just made up the numbers at times.

Got to be honest I saw half a dozen Leigh fans all day, did we outnumber the home support?

I have read these sorts of incidents on this occasion and on other visits to LSV, I have also seen the same type of incidents reported on other clubs websites, therefore why have the Leigh club not acted on this. Is it because the people who have reported these incidents have only done so on an open forum and not direct to the people who should act, the club themselves.

I have to say that I have never heard or been subjected to this kind of behaviour, in fact the Leigh supporters sat around us, whilst being passionate for their own team, were very friendly and accepted that there was errors from both sides that went un-punished and whilst our first try could well have been as a result of a forward pass, this was more than made up for with the Donalan try.

I do urge those of you who were subjected to this vile behaviour to write direct to the Leigh club.

I can assure you that I personally have written to RFL, Leigh and Fax about the incidents I am aware of at LSV on Sunday and I also know of a good few other fans who have done the same and also of incidents being reported to the police we don't need this kind of abusive racism and violence in our game
