Didn't rate Sam Wood in any of his appearances for us so certainly in no way a loss but we do seem insanely quiet at the minute.

Did we actually think we'd get further than we have done and if so has that meant we delayed sorting out contracts?? Just trying to find any reason to not announce re-signings as an absolute bear minimum

Didn't notice Wood myself but didn't he get mom in first game.Recruitment is poor though Cooper didn't even feature Sunday-need to get it right this close season.

Correct about Sam, hasn't stood out at all. We've had a few that have appeared with big expectations and disappeared with a whimper. I trust that behind the scenes somebody knows what they are doing. Up The Fax!

Yes there is a gap in the news from the club currently. MM has effectively gone so it's up to others to step up to the plate please. At least with what the clubs aims are close season. If Brandon Moore has gone it's a loss on the playing side but credit to him. It's obvious he was at a physical level of fitness way above the majority of the team and it takes hard work to achieve that.You get out of your work life what you put in has always been my motto.

To put in to context, Brad Dwyer is probably a class above Moore and hasn't been a regular at Leeds so do we see Morre going to Saints? Any SL move would be great for the lad and well deserved though although from what I heard it was pretty much a done deal for him to be here next season. Im really not sure how we would go about replacing someone like that.

On Sam Wood Im really surprised we did not take a punt on him, he's a big talented yound lad who's only down side similar to JWH is that he has not really found his position. Personally given we probably need at least one centre I thought it might be him which does suggest that either JWH may actually get a shot at that position or we have someone we judge as better lined up. Harping back to Marshall's comments it does now suggest he sees the problems and is looking to do something about them.

In my opinion Wood, who came with a bit of a reputation, was no better than we already have and we need to spend to improve not stand still.
I am sure signings will be announced in due course. Build the interest and sell season tickets may be the game the board are playing.

The players who are here all say they love it at the Shay. Just to hear Ben Heaton saying how well he has been looked after shows that. The improved match day atmosphere must help with that too.
Finding some talent wont be easy but i am sure RM and everyone have been searching.

Given that the clubs finances are still unclear for next year, that the new board have to settle in and they need to workout how to cover all the work done by MM I think they have their hands full on the non player area.

I was pleasantly surprised that the excellent new shirt was announced so quickly, which perhaps indicates things are moving forward.

New players will depend on budgets and if the new board have contacts and can get deals done, so I’m not anticipating much happening until Richard gets back from his post season holiday.

That probably highlights one of the problems the club may face in not having someone with experience of dealing with negotiations with agents and players on the financial side. Maybe that was why there was talk of bringing someone in to do that role.

Good luck to Brandon if he goes to Saints but if he does I hope it’s for the right reasons. We lost Rawtenstall to Hull and they just messed him about and offloaded him, I’m sure he would have been a success with us and filled a troublesome position, I mean he still playing at our level so why not stay here. SL clubs snap up players and DR them out, that needs to stop, if they have reserves fair enough but invariably it just blocking the Championship clubs from progressing.

Moore moving to Saints would be a very strange one, becauseas well as Roby they have just extended the contracts of two really good young hookers, one of them, Aaron Smith, was very impressive when he played a couple of games on loan at Fev and by all accounts played well back in the 1st team at Saints. Really can't see this being true.
