Reality check - we are a team who struggle to attract home gatesof 1700 with no wealthy benefactor. In view of this we should struggle to compete with Featherstone,Toulouse and even York - if you think sacking a coach who has assembled a team most people were excited about after 3 games - even if they could afford to do so, would dramatically change this state of affairs- then I beg to differ. As a supporter the hope is always that we will overachieve- this is Grix's team - I feel our best chance of doing this is giving him a chance to put right the disastrous first half defending from Sunday whilst building on what looks a promising attack.

Yes I can remember a number of good performances under Grix and several disappointing ones - he took over an underperforming team that had been coached by a coach with very different methods for 3 years - it was always going to take time to change a style of play that a lot of supporters had been moaning about for some time. Last season was a non-event - if coaches were judged on that then Ford at York would have been sacked. Halifax is a new team this year, with for the first time in ages a nucleus of promising younger players - Grix has put this team together and I'd like to see him given a fair chance to get the best out of them. It seems unlikely, and understandable not everyone will have the same point of view so I won't bother commenting on this again.

i do agree with the last part of your post and i do not wish to fall out with you at the end of the day we all want the same thing which is for halifax to be the best they can be we just see things differently

when it cones down to it. the coach was not on the field. the first half defending was all down to the players.

....and whatever he said to the players at half-time certainly had a marked effect so he must have spotted what was going wrong and remedied it! Far too early to shout for his head yet

i agree the players do have to take a long hard look at them selves but lets just say and i may be wrong i hope i am but if these problems are still here in say a months time how long is it then allowed to go on for the coach cant avoid blame forever

yes we did improve after half time but the game was over after 30 minutes that is a terrible state of affairs when we our out of a game after just 30 minutes at home i wouldn't expect that against a super league side also dont you think Toulouse might of taken there foot off the gas at that point they also had 3 of there best players missing and were playing only there 2 game of the season but we still couldn't go toe to toe with them in that 20 minute period in the first half and that for me is worrying

I see Amir got no further on punishment from the disciplinary panel who adjudged he did not use his shoulder or make contact with head - "Player does not use a shoulder charge technique. Player is going to affect a tackle but is late. No contact with the head" I don't think it was late and panel would normally say sin bin was sufficient, in this case they haven't which suggests they felt it didn't warrant it. That's successive games we have had a player incorrectly sin binned for allegedly using the shoulder, both at crucial times, On Sunday we had the ascendency at that point and the penalty swung it back. Hopefully we get some to even it out over the next few weeks.

I'm tired of the sport. That ref + Left side touch judge beat the bookie all day long for the RFL Mafia. Made so easy by rules purposely created to allow officials to control games. Pathetic how refs even up the penalty count too.
