Quote: Dick Jones "That sounds like Tommy he's no thug , like his drink but he doesn't fight, he lost his teeth at Fev a couple year back when they kicked off with us on their car park .'"

It was Tommy, one of your lads told me when he was struggling trying ask for a pint in the bar before the game, then had no idea where he was supposed to be standing in the second half, bit like our defence.

Quote: The Lucky Black Cat "Disappointed with the loss. Disappointed with the performance. Disappointed with Harrison yet again with his interviews etc. I dont think Harrison should be offered another contract as once again we throw away a game. A couple of things must be questioned.

FITNESS - Players should not be so tired that after a week since the last game they cant tackle and put much effort. I remeber in the 80s where we was playing somtimes 5 games in 2 weeks and yet still won games. Yes the players are part time but why do we alarmingly become so tired and poor in the second half of games? Leigh have had a tough cup game as well last week and yet even with 12 men apparently looked fitter than us.

ATTITUDE - Starts with the Coach and he just comes up with lame excuses and saying he doesnt do HT talks etc. That doesnt sound very professional to me and no doubt the players will make excuses just like the coach does. 24-0 up at one point. Harrison is on Radio Leeds and it comes across as he doesnt take the defeat and poor performance that seriously. Even allowing for the 2 dodgy tries, its a poor attitude that sees a team, for me, that is at 24-0 with 42 minutes to play lose 28-36. Wheres the leaders on the field? I just come away from listening to Harrison and reading and sometimes seeing games and think the attitude for me is wrong. Maybe I am wrong here but I am not impressed with how he does things

SQUAD . I fail to see why we loaned out Brown when we have Johnson out injured. Maybe Brown wanted more game time- Then he has to earn it!! We see quality finishers and match winners left kicking their heels while we stick fullbacks and centres on the wing. A fullback that is caught out of position and done for speed at centre. We have a SL Lock playing at Stand Off. Why are we playing players out of position so often. We have youngsters that are rarely given much chance to show what they can do- Holden last year, Brookes this year. The players that often are brought in are often good honest players, but not ones that are top quality.'"

Seems a fair comment to me and Casey gets a game week in, week out.

I agree about Brookes but we werent beat in the forwards today. We were beat on the fringes, Heaton not good enough, if Cowling is fit and has been dropped then Harrison needs to go as he obviously has personal issues with players that get in the way of coaching. I cant begin to fathom the loaning of Brown, Harrison has some explaining to do!

Our second half discipline & defence was awful, why does Rhino insist on playing players out of position.
The harmless Leigh fan "Tommy" should hang his head in shame, was it really necessary to shout, swear & gesture at the Fax fans. Had he just kept his vile toothless gob shut then some of the trouble that occurred in the south stand would not have happened he spoilt what had otherwise been a good game with a great atmosphere icon_sad.gif

Harrison's decisions regarding team selection are baffling.

Our loss had nothing to do with Barlow. It had everything to do with Fax
Not playing their best in second half with a 1man advantage. I saw no animosity between supporters. Two bad reffing calls and our lack of gaul to win the game when we had it in the bag. Well done Leigh.

A thrilling game today, Fax`s first half display was awesome. I expected a mauling in the second half to be honest.

Have to say the idiot who threw the beer at the fax fans who were stood near us was moronic, especially as it worried the kiddies who it went over. Not what the sport,or any club needs to be tarnished with.

I don't blame the players, they gave their best today, whether or not thats good enough who knows.

We've limped on now for over 2 years and today the home support were well and truly kicked in the knackers, a totaly humilating experience walking out of the ground today.

Theres nothing more to add about Harrisons (and his coaching staff) tactics, man-management, signings etc than whats already been said before. Time for a change, we need to see if someonelse can get more from these group of players because theyre obviously fragile and lacking confidence.

I cant see the BOD reacting though, they seem to be like rabbits in the headlights constantly repeating their mantra of bring a mate down. Hope everyone had a lovely time in the Harveys Suite, enjoy it while you can.

Sorry don't know where the home came from. But you lot are hilarious, just keep out of that bottom 5. Looks like KH is trying his hardest to get you there.

I often go to games thinking I wonder what will happen today and as a Fax fan for some time it includes anything and everything.

Yesterdays game did set a new precedent though when we are involved.

From 24 up and looking like a team on fire to hanging on for a bonus point, just about sums up a Fax season of inconsistency in one game.

You get your hopes up and think a corner is being turned only to find yourself coming off the road round the next bend with a flat and no jack or spare wheel.

Agree with a lot of what has been said by others but I did think our bench and options for the interchange went against us.

Tonks and Davies were our only props where Leigh had more size on the bench and Tonka being drawn in spent most of his first spell sitting back down for 10 reducing his impact.

Casey was not big enough yesterday and although Holden did nothing wrong Beswick had much more of an impact over the length of the game for the changes in the 9 slot.

Ref, allowed some rugby league and some thugby league and in among all the tit for tat gave a couple of bad calls that stood out from the rest so obvious going against us which influenced the result.

New half back pairing with Mennell and Murrell went pretty well for the first time but not sure it was the best game to try it out in, undecided about Johnston for that game even if he had been fit, his attacking threat would have caused them problems but not sure if his defence against a team of that size.

We still aren't just up there with the top two or three teams.

Anyway the sun has risen again this morning and it's a beautiful day so the end of the world hasn't arrived just yet.

Despite yesterday's fantastic result, (for Leigh) I still wouldn't bet against you when you come to ours. That's what is so great about this Game.

Not sure where to start with that game as it was like a nightmare.

I said in the week building up to the game that we would be tired due to the game against Widnes and by the end of the game we were out on our feet. What I didnt anticipate was Leighs dirty tactics and it wouldnt surprise me if it wernt part of their gameplan to try and get players binned to try and run us off our feet.

To be honest I thought Leigh`s tactics were a disgrace in that first half and the ref lost control. To be fair to Leigh we saw how good they were in the second half when they concentrated on playing rugby rather than the dirty stuff.

More on the ref before I start on our team but I would love to see where Barlow was stood when he scored their first try because my initial thought was that he were a long way in front of the kicker. When a team is on a roll decisions seem to go your way and the knock on try was dubious to say the least and the try from the forward pass was just downright terrible by the linesman but another game changer that has not been mentioned is the Heaton `knock on` which went over his shoulder and he had to run about 3 yards back to pick up and also the Fieldhouse offside from Pott`s kick which looked to go backwards meaning he couldnt be offside.

Now on to us, and its frustrating to hear people saying about Brown shouldnt have gone to Batley but lets face it he has been average in all the games he has played for us and we looked better with Mennel playing at 7. Harrison`s decision to only make 1 sub in the first half looked inspired early on but by the time the game finished and our players looked dead on their feet you have to question why we still had substitutions remaining and in a game where tiredness was going to play effect why this was so.

Another poor crowd for one of our biggest games of the season and you have to question where the club goes from here. Its a vicious circle and if we want top 2 then we need to bring in new players because our squad is not good enough but to do that we need money. Yesterdays result does not encourage people to watch the team meaning less money to bring in new players meaning we are at best 3rd or 4th in this league. I do not want to put more pressure on our coach but he bemoaned how good their key players were yesterday but he has made the decisions that have turned us from a flair team to a solid team, so many signings and decisions that have been poor imo and we are now paying the price. It will be too late before anything is done about it though.

Leigh deployed dirty tactics, getting into our faces (literally) and whining our players up. Don't like the off the ball whining up that Leigh used. Targeting Tonks trying to provoke a reaction. Obviously took exception to be outplayed in first half.

Played well in the first half but was knocked of our game by Rowley's underhand tactics in 2nd half. icon_frustrated.gif

But these are tactics which win games. These are tactics that are beyond our coach it would seem. It's no good saying "they came to slow us down" or "they disrupted the game by fighting". The only synopsis that matters is how the scoreboard reads after 80 minutes. You have to plan for coaches like Paul Rowley and Mark Aston. if you don't, they end up being better coaches than you.
