We've all known in our heart of hearts that the Shadster would be going at the end of the season, whether it was to Tolouse (Union or League) or Wakey or somewhere else, so it's no surprise at all and won't put a dampener on the build up this week. Look at the way Shad celebrated his try on Thurs night. He's definitely going to try and go out with a bang on Sunday week and that can only be a good thing for Fax.

Signing for the Bu**s was a bit of a bombshell, but I am chuffed to bits he'll get his tilt at Soopaleeg wherever it's at. It'll make Friday / Saturday night viewing at least a little bit more interesting as some of the games this year have been dire. Thurs night has been exceptional (in the main) in comparison.
I cant bring myself to wish the Bu**s a good season but really hope the Shadster does.

A well deserved crack at Super League for the lad. He has been an absolutely fantastic player for Halifax, how he has not been snapped up by a SL club before now I don't know

I feel very positive about this news, mainly due to reaction by the posters on here. He is obviously a fans favourite who have given his all to your club. I just hope he can replicate that form in the SL with us now. Does anyone know if he was still under contract for next year? If he was, we may have a pre season friendly to look forward to, now that would be good!!

Shad has been fantastic for us since the day he signed, He will be a great signing for you. As far as i know, Shad is out of contract at the end of this season.

Shad has been our most consistent player for years, he reads the game brilliantly, this and his rugby brain are his strong suit, hes very professional, defends well, backs up better than most in the game, if he was blessed with an extra yard of pace, IMO he would have made the grade at an NRL club and been a big name already. I rate him that highly as an intelligent player, He goes with our blessing i hope and it would be nice if one day he returned to us.

Larder, Wrenchy, Shad and Holly potentially all on their final game for fax, at least it gives us a chance to say a fans farewell next sunday

I agree that its better this way, once the rumours started, they needed to stop so everyone could concentrate on Sunday, and im sure we would all love the chance to chant Shads name as he picks up MOM and a winning try. Fairytale i know, but quite possible too.
