Much better than us with the ball - the better team won on the night.

You only need to play well in September.

Quote: Homer_J_Simpson "Thought it was a pretty boring game to be honest.

Sheffield looked clueless in attack and 'fax wern't much better.

Didn't see anything that we need to worry about from either team.'"

I know were you are coming from Homer, but watching the game at the DVS last night help me appreciate the job Fax did on Sheffield they did close them down all across the field and don't allow the Eagles backs any space. Yere got one run all game. Now the conditions for me helped Fax - on a dry pitch I think Sheffield would have given a better account of themselves.

Should Fev be worried about either side? On last night's performance -for me no we shouldn't, as I said to MM last night I don't see why we shouldn't get to the grand final and win it, apart from us being too complacent.

But credit Fax last night they played very well in what for me was always going to be a scrappy game. Hope we can win in as dominant fashion against Leigh, but suspect we are in for a hard game.

Good luck to Fax in your next play-off game, which I believe can't be against Fev would be good to play you in the Final.

I slightly disagree re the playing surface/conditions. I watched the game back today on tv & some of our dis-allowed tries may well have been more clinically finished on a drier track. Who would have ever backed tiger to do a defensive job on Yere ? But he did just that.

fair play - I haven't seen the game back yet. What a job Fax did defensively all night on all the Sheffield backs, QLT included. Was first class.

What I meant by the conditions, is that on a dry pitch Sheffield's normal game could have come more to the fore.

But it's a game of opinions, which makes it such a great sport to watch!

MM If we are still in the running for the Grand Final, I'll have a look at making one in at the Shay in 2 weeks time, would be good to meet up again.

Having watched it on tv I think we played the terrible conditions very well and handled Sheffield quite easily. The weather put paid to flowing rugby but defensively was very pleasing indeed!! The Fev side this year to me isn't as good as the side in the previous 3 years and we've not turned up at all against Fev this year. Equally like we haven't versus Sheffield away this year. The attacking of Fev for me hasn't looked as fluid and am confident they are beatable whereas in previous seasons they've beaten themselves by choking. We picked a side for the conditions last night and equally on a dry track believe we have as good a back line as anyone in this division. Last night went a long way to restoring some of my faith. One game certainly hasn't made us world beaters but its showed if we turn up we can match anyone....

Awesome effort last night! Smashed them from minute one in defence which set up the platform to score late on. Never looked in doubt.
