You guys are sometimes hard to please. Ok it might not have been the best first half fax have ever played, was it their fault or was it Oldham pressured them into mistakes, you were saying all last week Oldham are no mugs,and pushed HKR all the way, in the end it is another 2 points and a confidence builder at the right time of the year.

On another note, has Warrancy gone off the boil? And is Tangata injured?

Even by RM own admission the first half was dreadful,poor passing and loose carries aplenty,wouldn't like to see completion rate.Worrincy has always divided opinion but i've always been a fan but his race is run now i'm afraid.Got bundled into touch on only real sight of line,would have scored in his earlier days. Defence was ordinary too if you see his effort for the disallowed try.Tangata and Heaton have been reported out injured but the cynic in me suggests their not in as they are leaving at end of season.

With Worrincy its used to be a case of the good outweighs the bad but its heading the other way around and for me earlier in the season he could not justify his place in the team, Im still not sure if that is the case or not but with no one to come in he is pretty safe for the moment. Im not sure Tangata's future is decided but to be honest the last 2 games we have not really missed him and Im not sure he has been that great all season. Hopefully a few games missed will freshen him up a bit and he can be standout again.

He seemed to indicate that it was a penalty to us, which he then reversed, possibly because of an untoward remark from one of our players. It could have been very costly.

Can't for the life of me see why worrincy keeps getting selected?... He's been consistently poor all season and would av been dropped by any other professional side.. no disrespect he's probably a nice lad but paying fans av an opinion right or wrong

I'd hope we are keeping Tangata out until the last 3 games. Who knows.

Rob didn't have a good game. He made tons of metres... sideways, but doesn't seem able to spot a gap and get through it - his main asset is his strength and that's only going to tell if he's running in a forward motion rather than sideways. The major problem for me though was seeing him flap those massive hands of his and completely miss decking his opposite number... unless of course he'd come inside for some reason and left his wing completely open.

For a (nice) guy with such experience and such strong hands, it's bemusing how he manages to make such a mess of things so often. For a younger player I'd suggest more training/experience, but for Rob...??

Its a win poor first half far too many errors (11 knock ons) but came good in the end we were fitter than they were and our defence was mostly solid.
We had a lot of kids out there again and are missing several experienced players to be fair, good turn out by the fax fans if we were a bit quiet!

The kids did Ok today, but it was noticeable how quiet we were. 809 speccies, with a toss-up whether Oldham or Fax had 405+ in attendance, but we didn't make our presence felt. A nice day out in the sun, but it didn't have the "tension" of some of our games, which perhaps reflected in the lack of response from the terraces?... or maybe everyone had been in the bar too long and drooped in the sun?

According to the match report both sides had 11 errors in the 1st Half obviously not great but our defence was tremendous think our fitness told in the end. I like RW but am finding it harder each game to defend him

Yep, it was called as encroaching within the 10 meters.

That sort of makes sense, but in that case the penalty would be where the player was tackled, not where where the kick was made. Why did he march us 30 yards back down the pitch if it was a simple case of offside?

The thought was because of a bit of verbal from the Fax camp as it was a close call for the 10 decision or he simply got it wrong as hard to believe as that may be.
