| Enjoyed today's game , entertaining , Leeds A came back well and thought at 24 all we were going to give it away but a Murrell try and a drop goal gave us the spoils . Was chatting to a hunslet fan who was definitely in two minds about the link up . Doesn't approve when the club's own players don't play and don't get win bonuses etc and also when it hinders any youth development but on the other hand it has bought a few more rhinos fans to the south Leeds stadium and makes them more competitive . Told him I think it devalues the whole comp - he just shrugged his shoulders. Good day out today

| Biased ref, every Fax pass forward, Fax offside at every play the ball and dozens of unpunished high tackles... and the best team lost... according to some quite vociferous Hawks fans in the upper tier of the stand...
We somehow managed to make it a very even game from a commanding 18-0 lead. Enjoyable in a way, but very frustrating as well, as we managed to drag ourselves down to their level. Some good breaks and great support play for our tries though. Thank goodness Ste Tyrer had his kicking boots on and we'd have lost without Scott on the pitch at the end (lucky bounce it may have been, but put a kick like that into open space...).

| Good win though we probably made it way harder than it should of been. Hopefully Hunslet Rhinos alongside Swinton Wolves get relegated. They both dont deserve to be in the championship. Dont have that much of a problem with Dual Regs being youngsters but the likes of Richard Moore and Lee Briers guesting is wrong and cheapens the comp

| Hunslet had most of the field position due to a high penalty count against us but our goal line defence for the first 30 minutes kept them out with that extra bit of class to score some good tries early on.
A sleepy 3 minutes in the last 10 of the first half gave them the half time impetus to come out fighting in the second.
Could easily have come away with just a point in the end so pretty relieved as I walked out.
We seem to struggle on the narrower pitches, KH said on Radio Leeds that Robbo and Luke Adamson could have player today if required so with next week off they should be back in contention which will give our bench a bit more size and go forward.
Did you notice the tactical switch of Rob and Wayne to disrupt their high kicking game.

| It was a win but we shoukd never have let them get so close after being 18 nil up, thankfully Scott and Thacks got us out of jail, we don't like those narrow pitches do we?

| I thought Karl ashall had another good little cameo appearance when he came on and did done good running from dummy half while his brother also went well from 13 which is his best position rather than at hooker

It's never an easy proposition for anyone. We may have benefitted from playing 2 of our games up there early in the season before teams fully find their feet and get settled, Barrow won't be an easy trip as by August they'll be battling to get points to stay up unless they have a run of good form before then, but if we do what we can then it'll be ok.
As for yesterday. Got to be happy with the 3pts but I was a bit disappointed we let them back in it, at 18-0 up we should have been pushing to kill the game. A drop goal would have been a major blow to their hopes of a comeback, Hunslet's first try was on the back of repetitive sets on our line which we had defended well, but the second was a lot easier and shouldn't have got over really.
With a week off now hopefully there can be a focus in training on the areas we need to improve. And by the time we get to Dewsbury in a fortnight normal service should be resumed
