| Question..... Would you rather lose 50-10 under calland playing "exciting rugby" or lose 24-4 under harrison playing "boring rugby"?

| Sitting through that desperately poor performance was embarrassing, no arguments from me fev were quicker of the line in defence, more creative (although that's not hard), faster, stronger and simply better. Rating the players is tough to think of anyone above 6/7:
Fieldhouse - 5
Worrincy - 3
Tyrer - 2 (only for his kick offs apart from that was pointless)
Paterson - 2
Reittie - 3
Handforth - 1 desperately poor, jones was more creative and he wasn't creative but handforth can supposedly 'control' a game, absolutely atrocious even more so when compared to Holroyd, Branighan
Thackery - 0 one trick pony ? is he even that
Hesketh - 2
Penky - 4 our only attacking, creative player and if he's not having a 8,9/10 game then we're a mid table side
Ambler - 6
Manning - 3 ok first half awful second
Robinson - 5
Barlow - 6
Ashall - 2 been awful for a month or so now, perhaps started to believe his own hype
Aizue 4/5 lifted the team with his presence
Bowman 2 when are we going to give up on this lad hasn't progressed as a player, will never be a top championship player won't
Gannon - 3 you know what gannon gives; no yards and good defence, is it enough ?
We've been average since we beat Fev really and some people are quite blinded to our lack of creativity in the halves due to penky's flair and generally creating enough for the team to win games. we could do with a few loanees or i could see us struggling to be competitive in the play offs v. leigh, batley, fev

| Everytime Featherstone put a tackle in tonight, they made us feel it! Where was our aggression..
We've been playing dreadful for weeks and Fev really proved it tonight.
No idea's in attack. Players getting smashed due to flat passes.
It will be interesting to see who Harrison picks next week as it's a must win game.

I like open rugby so would rather lose 50-10. Even when we lost under Calland you never knew what to expect and always felt we could score tries. Thius season I have been disappointed that we just look so predictable and it just doesnt excite me at all. And makes losing worse especially after a dour game tonight. I know as a player I loved to play in teams who would try something different instead of just playing one man rugby.

Don't agree with the Bowman statement. I think he's got the ability to be a top player but he's not going to be if he's not getting played regularly is he?

| After each tackle and big hit the fev players acted like they had won super league, they were up for it, how come we werent.
Ive been slightly concerned about us for a while now, we dont beat any decent teams and struggle against so called mid table or lower table teams.
Harrisons blow out on tv doenst fill me with confidence either and I dont even know what our best team is, whats with all the swapping of the wingers, players need game time.
We have zero creativity apart from penky, zero go forward apart from barlow and ambler and apart from fieldhouse who himself was quiet tonight our backs are non existent, patterson last made a break in 2009.
Fevs lines speed in defence was excellent, our lot just waited for the man to come to them in defence.
We look uncoached if im being honest.

| Give Bowman a run in the side, it can't get any worse. I know the club has to cut it's cloth accordingly, but we really miss the spark of Beswick, Branighan, Black and Royston. Current half-backs are trying, but they don't cut the mustard at all.

Just can't see what he's good at really; not quick, not especially good with the ball, not a great kicker and doesn't have the right attitude. Will never play at a better standard than this imo

| Thought it would be much closer today. Good game with some pedantic reffing either way.
I'd heard a lot of good things about your fullback, but his defence on 2 of our tries was truly woeful!
As you say, I think we were far more up for this tonight, see you in the playoffs! (and/or Blackpool)

| Fieldhouse - 3 Not his best game!
Worrincy - 3 Just wasted and feel for the guy as he just is never given any decent ball and looks to have no confidence in attack.
Tyrer - 4 Just come back from 2 months out so would be rusty.
Paterson - 3 Again just doesnt seem the player who thrived under Calland
Reittie - 3 Not a winger for me. Hasnt got the X factor a winger should ghave like Rob and Whitey have. No idea why White was dropped for Reittie.
Handforth - 3 Dont rate him at all. Has a decent kicking game sometimes, but creates little and just lazy most of the time.
Thackery - 2 God knows what RHino sees in him! Offers very little. Cant create except for himself. Might as well not played tonight.
Hesketh - 3 another who has been a let down this season and again this game showed it.
Penky - 6 Our attacking creative man. Without him we are buggered in attack. Again doesnt look happy for me playing this season.
Ambler - 6 Local lad who always shows pride in the shirt and gives 100%
Manning - 3 Disappointing. Never got in the game at all
Robinson - 5 Good signing and tried tonight but wasnt up to his usual standards.
Barlow - 6 MoM for me. Like Anmbler always gives 100% but why is nobody supporting him when he offloads?
Ashall - 3 Another below par performance. Just wasnt there again tonight
Aizue 5 good running an offloads but not given enough support.
Bowman 3 Cant say I have ever thought he looks class and tonight another below average showing. Cant help being stuck on the bench or second team though
Gannon - 4 Too old really and gives silly penalties away. OK in defence but doesnt break the tackles or create

I can see where you are coming from I just believe he has the potential to be good. Glimmers of a good player sometimes shine through, which would come together more frequently if he was given a run in.
Can't get any worse than what our current half backs are offering. I don't like to slag players off on forum's but either Halifax have been blessed with the cream of the crop of the years with half backs or these are bellow par. You decide.

| Worst performance of the season by far tonight, absolutely shocking and i'm even more shocked they only managed to score 24. Barlow, Ambler and Robinson were the only ones who turned up tonight and no-one else wanted it at all! Don't anyone dare blame it on Handforth and Thacks because the whole team - bar those mentioned- was abysmal tonight. Didn't turn up, didn't look interested and didn't close down that prat Finn who we know completely runs their game. Fair play to Fev though, that's the team we've been used to seeing over the past couple years, simple rugby and it's effective.
The only positives is, like Harold said we'd have got absolutely spanked if we'd have played like that last season and also Fev are only 2 points ahead of us. We need a complete switch around for the next game now!

Exactly, when he came on he didn't half get involved and he tried to organise our attack, but unfortunately it fell on death ears. He gets a 40 minutes of rugby every so often which is not enough to really show what he can do. Yes, I know his defence is abit skeptical at times but like some of us know, he's brilliant at creating opportunities and that's something that we seem to be lacking at the moment. Give the lad a chance, a proper chance.
