| I understand everything would increase .... but ..... staying where we are as good as it is there will come a point where the club cannot get any better.

| I`d sooner be in this league and enjoying the fact we have a decent team to watch rather than geting thumped every week .But then Widnes were not promoted because they were the best team on the field anyway so it doesn`t really equate . They were promoted because they had a money man , nothing to do with what went on on the field so some may ask if it wasn`t important then why should it be now?
It`s only a few years since when they stopped promotion and religation the excuse was to ensure that Clubs had three years to consolidate so the teams were of equal strengh to stop any cricket scores against any club.Plus the finances of these clubs would be sound ,well no wonder the silence eminating from Red Hall is deafening at the moment.

| Widnes were always going to get thumped in their first season. Even their license was granted first they still couldn't approach any in contract players. They'll spend their way up the table come next season.

| They may well spend their way up but they could have saved a lot of grief by ensuring that they went up as winners - with momentum and a sense of triumphal achievement instead of whimpering in with a piece of paper which allegedly said they were super and ready for it. Nothing can make you all that unless you earn it on the pitch which is what sport is all about in the first place. Those that lose sight of this get thumped 76-6 against the bottom club.

Welcome to Bradford my friend. Come & dine with the fine food diners, enjoy the fare and just remember what we used to be......

| I have said this before but SL is not all that the RFL and others crank it up to be. Most clubs including St.Helens, Hull KR, London etc are running on loans from directors or have big debts. London will be gone in the next 3 years as Hughes has said he wont be funding it after 2015. Bradford Bulls will be lucky to survive and even then they will be no more bigger club as ourselves and watch the crowds drop next year when the free and dirt cheap tickets go. The RFL are clueless as has been shown this last week and the Crusaders fiasco. I am happy where we are and laugh as SL lives beyond its means and the pack of cards fall down. Crusaders was the first to go. Bradford likely the second and its just a question of time before the next one- thankfully it wont be Halifax

| I don't see why anyone would want to watch more years of Championship rugby. Win or Loose the games mean nothing, there is no sense of achievement. The Grand Final was a great day out and I was on a high for a few weeks after but then it was just back to zero, all reset and go again.
As long as there is nothing to play for I will not be as interested in the games as I once was. This off-season I even thought twice about getting a season ticket. Several of my friends don't go to games any more, most of them supporters since they were born. I am slowly loosing interest in the club, even two years ago this would have been unthinkable for me. I have even started going to the odd Giants game. All this through no fault of the club, the on field product is better than it has been in years. It is just when I am at games I find my self struggling to get exited about a win and I am careless about a loss. The exceptions are games like the Fev NRC game, where the game itself provides the excitement, but those games are few and far between.
Whilst I agree with everyone's comments about our survivability in SL, I would rather the club try and fail than slowly die and become just another Championship club playing in front of 500 fans.

Well I love the game and will follow my team to the end depite the fact that I think I might last longer.
Franchising/licensing has effectively disallusioned too many who always have had the need to see their team at the top table but realise under this current system it will never happen.
I fear the gap is now too wide and is unbridgeable and Bradford's difficulties not to mention a couple of other Non Relegation league clubs will mean the pro game is up and only about 10 teams (max) will survive.
Maybe that was the intention all along ? Whichever Championship club you support do you honestly think you will ever be able to watch them at Wembley in a Challenge Cup Final for example.
Re the previous post maybe but I fear this has gone on too long to make a difference.

I love the game of Rugby League. I love what Halifax are doing right now. Widnes are in Super league - go and ask them if they're loving their rugby.
I'd bide my time Nat and a restructure as mentioned by JTFEV might be on the cards - 2 Super Leagues with P&R. That'll make things a bit bettter. If you pack in the rugby what ya gonna do? Go to church?

This is a candidate for most depressing post of the year.

I genuinely think this licensing farce along with dual registration is to introduce feeder clubs by the back door, like how they operate in Australia. Same old, same old. Copy the Aussies to try and beat them but we're at least 5 years behind the times.

And every team outside of these divisions will fade and disappear, and then we'll be back to the old division 1 & 2 as it was before Stupor League.
