Harlequins manage it with a ringing endorsement from Dick Lewis

But essentially it wouldnt be Championship clubs we would be playing in Superleague, so Leeds, Bradford etc would bring many, many more as well as our own floating fans would return.
And what was the crowd at Mount Pleasant yesteday??? 1101..... Widnes didnt take many there then?
Then look at
Salford v Bradford (2809)
Watch your crowd figures increase next year

A quarter of SL home fixtures are made up of the non-travelling Crusaders, Harlequins & Catalans. That leaves EIGHT home league fixtures......
I'm a Halifax supporter BTW, not Widnes.

I am not saying that we dont need to increase the crowds, we certainly do, but I know there are people who would start coming again when the competition will be Leeds, St Helens, Wigan etc, instead of Dewsbury, Batley, Hunslet etc....
The point I am making is that we were a championship side playing a championship side and we had 2479, whilst Salford v Bradford, two superleague sides only got a 330 more people through the turnstiles than we did.

| Worth bearing in mind that the Salford game was a direct clash with the Manchester derby though. I know people will say people should watch the rugby instead etc etc but there's no underestimating just how big an effect it will have had on their crowd.

That just shows how stupid people running Clubs and our game are! The Semi Final was known well in advance so why not put Leed-Huddersfield or Sainst-Wakey on the Saturday and have the Salford-Dulls game on the Friday. Its not exactlt rocket science is it that Salford to go up against Man Derby Semi FInal will see a small crowd.

| Even making it a different kick off would have helped - has there ever been a 4.45pm Saturday game before, particularly during the football season?

It's a reference to the crowd at the Salford-Bradford game as mentioned in a previous post.

| Oh and just watched the Superleague show. Harlequins gave 5000 free tickets away and only got a crowd of 4 and a half thousand.
