I agree with you on that.
Great signing me and my brother said we should try sign him earlier in the season.

| Sad to see him go. I can't blame him for signing for his home town club.
One of the best scrum halves we've had in many, many years.
He was like our general on the field, a great organiser, a great leader.
More of a creative rather than an explosive player.
Kicking both out of hand and at goal has improved massively in the last couple of years.
Very good defence for a half-back.
A little hot headed at times, must have had about half a dozen yellow cards for dissent.

Think a lot of credit for his development is down to Eaton although the ability has always been there. Danny didnt really get a chance at Fax last time but TBH he was only a boy but now he is a man and can work wonders behind a strong pack. I will be delighted if he comes back.

| Whilst he is a decent player, we have BB for scrum half.
The signing probably does signal one of the playmakers (probably Branighan given the speculation) are going, I cant see that he is being brought in to replace the retired holroyd

| If this means that Branighan is on his way out I can't think of a better replacement than a young Halifax born player who has made great strides over the past few years.

ok he is a scrum half. but does position mean anything these days. all this means is we continue like last year with ball distributer either side of pitch.
but who takes goal kicks with two of the best in team.?

| Good lad and a true scrum half in the traditional sense of the word.
Welcome back Jonesy!

| Ace signing, would have loved to have seenhim at Leyth with Riddy, but from a Leythers point of view, you've got yourself one hell of a player.

| Great signing. Local lad who wants to play for us is just what we need.Hope we keep hold of Black and Branighan but if they dont want to be here and jones is a signing to cover the loss of 1 or both then good riddance to them

| Happy with that as he has improved since he was last with us when he was still learning his trade, did well for Keighley when we played them this season if not spectacular but still created several of their tries.

| Luke has always said when asked that he wants to stay, there's probably more factors in it other than what Luke wants, and what the club are offering, His agent is probably offering him around trying to get a better "price" for him.

| I think a lot of it has to do with day jobs. I understand a lot of our players that were previously part time but with no other job are now looking for a day job. I suppose they may end up having to go where the work is.
