It seems also that the club has had a fairly solid excuse to hold off on the push for SL - the fact that it's been a closed shop. Now the gates are open it's all gone a bit quiet. To be honest I don't blame them. It simply costs too much money without stadium revenue.

Wether the door to SL is open or not is irrelivant, the mindset is to grow wherever you are, as has been alluded to Widnes with a fan base in the Championship of almost double everybody else havent been able to build as they would have liked, but still no reason not to try

There were 1,400 there last week. This week, more people in South and East stand. So, how do you only get 2,200 for today's gate??? Maybe they don't count midgets? That's one not on the list today then....

Shared gate so do right to under egg it, SL sides do it all the time when they play at home. Also irrespective of how many attend a league game season tickets are always counted wether they turn up or not in the attendance figure.

do SL season ticket holders still get free entry to this round also? if do can not count most of widnes fans.

No that got stopped a couple of years ago. No cup ties included in season tickets anymore.
