It did look a poor following form us on the TV, however i was there and we definitely took a lot more than it looked on sky. Like somebody else said it was your biggest gate of the year-granted there would have been promotions/freebies etc.

Featherstone Rovers are indeed the finest club team ever to play the game.
We have 3000 fans at every game
and all our fans are ladies and gentlemen who only engage in social discourse, repartee and exciting badinage at matches.

I found the taunts at half time at your gaff by (a small section) of your crowd to be unnecessary and provocative. Many of the posters on here agreed at the time.
It's an objective comment and I've seen similar provocative action from Rovers fans getting too excited.
Arrogant?? Possibly, possibly not.
But, having been the recipients of the taunts when they came, I can see how and why some rovers fans took great delight in advising their Halifax counterparts of their previous comments when Rovers won in the last minute!!!!

That's history, tho we are still enjoying that one!!

Thuirsday is a different game. Fax have home advantage and I would imagine are just about the bookies fav but not by much.
I'm hopeless at predicting so I won't except we will bring more than 200 fans!!!

I don't know about anybody else but I feel our luck is changing. To play Featherstone rather than Widnes makes me feel somebody upstairs is giving us a chance! No disrespect to Featherstone but fax would not have beaten Widnes no way! Maybe next season when we have rebuilt the side in terms of personnel and mindset. I just feel that our moment is arriving again because we have a golden chance to prove everybody wrong (including me at times!) and put this great club back at the top of the tree. If we can win the GF I am convinced we will go from strength to strength and the momentum will be with us for more success. Failure this time is not an option so come on fax keep your composure and give 100%and Warrington here we come!

To finish 6th and be in sniffing distance of the final I would think so. Plus it [imay[/i be Harris last game as a player so he's going to have a point to prove isn't he? Fev as a collective will be coming to our house to show us up on national telly. We need to show 'em which club's the daddy

God knows how you work that out, i have just watched the Widnes DVD and we murdered them, plus we will have 2 top players who didnt play in that game available. Darrel Powel is the best coach in the game and has got Rovers peaking at the right time, i think you would of been better off playing Widnes.
As for the last time we went to Fax you all know what the problem is, you have some young fools gathering at the back of the stand trying to create a football atmosphere, singing childish songs, trying to intimidate families and throwing things, generally been very disrespectful to other clubs / fans. You have watched this all season and done nothing the only time you worry about it is this week because you know Fev will be bringing hundreds of fans and many still bitter about there treatment last time. GET THEM SORTED OUT

It did look like a poor following but there was more there. It looked like a poor following because it was.
The reason there was a big crowd is because Rovers fans turned out, dont forget we averaged nearly 5k before we were dumped from the top flight and we took 5k to the grand final in 2007 those fans havent all died you know they are still out there. Thurs will be the biggest, most passionate, most vocal away following that the shay has seen for a few seasons

Lets hope so, but I am afraid we will be disappointed. only ONE team has almost filled our away end and that was WIDNES. The crowd that day was just short 4k.

If you bring 1/2 what Widnes did that day I will be happy, but with an avg home attend half of Widnes I DOUBT IT!

so far we're on our 4th bus and filling it quick.
I reckon about 6-700 of us will make the journey, though many believe i'm being conservative in my estimates.

Excellent... but still WELL short of Widnes in NRC semi, they brought > 1,000
