This league is so competitive i think number one priority is to stay in it , which I think we will.It looks like upper mid table to me with Leigh and the Bulls carrying the Championship flag into making an impression the middle 8. The club and its supporters need to stick together and just let the BOD do their bit and RM do his with player recruitment of his own. Once things have settled I am sure those close games that got away from us this season will turn around and we will be up there competing. Just not this season I'm afraid. I sincerely hope I am proved wrong of course!( PS Keep smiling Charlie)

Spot on. I think this league could become more exciting than SL. So long as we are fairly competitive I'll be happy. This league will also be boosted if any of its members get promoted to SL. It will send a message out to would be investors that there is an achievable pathway to the top league.

I expect they will as Leeds have a big squad ,but I expect à comfy win at full time,yet never take owt for granted.

My advice to Fax, set an ambitious budget to go FT and guarantee any shortfalls via equity from the board/shareholders.

Reckon they'll stay the distance in first half but then tire for second.

My expectations of this season , with a new coach and the changes that this brings, was that 1,2 and 3 would be the fulltimers, with the 4th spot being fought out for by a few clubs, us being one. I guess, being in 5th at the moment is roughly where I expected, given that we also lost to Featherstone. I still see us improving as the season progresses, and may be able to pick off a game later in the season against the top ones, but to keep ahead of the chasing pack and the 4th spot is still a possibility.

Where I worry is for next season, if Sheffield and Featherstone are full time next season, along with London, and whoever is left in our league after the million pound game, we need to be working hard on getting together a full time squad in order to not be left lagging behind. I know this comes at a price and more financial input is needed to do this.

I'd be surprised if the sponsorship amounted to a great deal as that is not really how Lloyds seems to work, very London based but it may be that the a Halifax side is pushing it. Who knows but I do hope that it comes through and enables us to be more competitive.
