Town fans are for the most part a bit slow. Any idiot(apart from Bubba) could see that although the ACV sounds good it puts them in a worse position than they were already in. The council now have the perfect excuse to get rid of the stadium and seen as though there will be one and only one bidder may as get it over with sooner or later. |

All they have in their little minds is The Shay must stay in the hands of a COuncil who has no money'"

What?
The Shay is vital to both clubs as it is the only place both can play in the whole of Halifax & Calderdale plus to buy the land and build a new stadium is not an option as firstly there is nowhere suitable plus neither club have that sort of money as it would not come cheap. Look at Oldham RLFC if you want a good example of why you stay where you are!
Can people get it in their heads that politically and planning wise the Shay is now an established sports stadium and is allocated as open space in the planning document called the Replacement Unitary Development Plan which is set in law! There are other sites in town which would be developed before any business would take a look at the Shay plus you may have noticed the retails sector aint doing very well right now anyway. |

They are but there's no great panic about HXRL's figures. It's not like they're kerzillions in debt like some SL clubs.

As well as that HXRLFC is now many years old as a company and over time like in all sports clubs, directors will put money in to the club, money that they wont expect to get back but will be classed as loans. If the club was only a year old and were showing the same figures then i would be quite worried. As it is the club really isnt in that bad shape and unlike Halifax Town has not had to go down the route of writing off historical debt by going in to liquidation.
So yes on the face of it FC Halifax Town are in a good position, it has to be remembered that quite recently they had to write off millions of pounds worth of debt and a lot of companies suffered because of this so Town fans taking the hollier than though stance would do well to remember that. |

Seems town fans think the whole thing was stage managed and TA is a muppet and the Fax fans are quiet.
I'm still not decided - one thing though, do either club need a stadium as big as the one in artist's drawing and is a mortgage on the ground a good idea - not exactly man united are either clubs eh?

Thankfully NOT. Manure are millions in debt as are most "top" football clubs. |
