Cheers jacko, but in response to your comment, I believe that the issue has been addressed by the overwhelming majority. Scores of fans have helped the police with their enquiries. However, in an isolated incident, with no other witnesses, it is difficult to secure the evidence that will bring about a prosecution despite their best efforts so far.

and on that issue of last night, and events last Autumn, I think it's time for me to bail out as I feel I've said my bit, answered the points from a fev fans perspective.

totally agree, its pathetic that people are going to miss the game, its not just Featherstone "fans", a lot of our "fans" we're causing trouble, some maybe more that the Fev ones, unfair to tarnish everybody with the same brush.
If people want to miss the game then its up to them but i think they are making it worse, going on about it and kicking up a fuss makes it more likely for something to happen, if we just forget about it things will probably blow over!!

We had trouble a few years back at Widnes with them bricking the supporters coach window but no one boycotted that game and there has been no major trouble since, its rugby league fgs!

Sorry RFF but I simply can't agree with everything you post in reply..... Firstly in the build up to the game all I heard Fax sing was Championies etc. Fev however come back with W@nki Fax etc. From sitting in the East Stand I found the atmosphere hostile at best intimidating in reality. Fev fans had an opportunity to show the world of RL that the incident at Wire was a one off an opportunity missed in my opinion having watched their behaviour. Fax fans are not whiter than White and we all had concerns!! I even offered the club to do a meet and greet on the way to the ground but Halifax were reluctant as they were certain that Fev would behave and relations between the 2 clubs are very good. All the aggressive chanting originated from Fev and Fax retaliated and I don't condone that either! As for the idiots not representing you well again I'm afraid media and police labelled the cowards involved as Featherstone fans and I'm afraid mud sticks. I'm certainly not saying either that you or the majority are not decent people or fans as I'm sure you are. Collectively last night as a group of fans I thought "Fev" provoked and goaded and were the instigators of an atmosphere I and many around me found both aggressive and hostile. It's human nature to retaliate and Fax were dragged into it through the Fev goading. I am only saying it as I saw it whilst trying to be subjective as a Fax fan but if the shoe was on other foot I'd be pretty upset at my own fans.

You have no idea if anyone is covering up or not, you know nothing about the police investigation, yes its best YOU dont come to the game at Fev, people like you are not welcome, you call our fans but it seems to be overlooked that you have some right bother causing little shiiites that follow fax, like the little scroat that tried to nick my hat in the semi, lucky he didnt get his teeth knocked down his throat, but as my son was with me i left it. No one can tell me what Fev fans are like i have been following them for over 30 years and seen some pretty bad incidents in those times, but as long as i behave myself that is all i can do, but good god man open your eyes and ears, i have been to Fax more times than i care to remember over the years and in general they are good fans colourful and vocal i always enjoy playing them but i have seen some right ass wipes as well

It's fair to say having watched myself the video Cheshire Police have released of the incident there are several people stood around not physically taking part but who must surely know who these individuals are??? Someone is doing the cowardly thing and not coming forward!! Do you condone that??? Your post is very aggressive and you carry on by saying a fax fan touched your hat and you wanted to smash his teeth in??? You have no idea who those people stood around are or where there from, you have no idea if they are Fev or Fax fans, you have no idea what the police have been told, you can name a person but it means jak without any concrete evidence to back it up, it will get laughed out of court and the police know it.

My post is aggressive because when we played you 2 seasons ago at the shay there was problems in the crowd with fax fans throwing stuff goading and acting like little chavs all game, people on here were moaning about the unruley element and were sick of it, i would find the thread if i could be bothered, that now seems to be forgotten. Come on take your flat cap off pal, a man was NEARLY KILLED by a Fev fan in a coach park with two Fev coaches passing the incident as it happened and yet you claim that nobody is covering up for somebody?
You also ignore my point about the nasty atmosphere all day from Fev fans (pubs in the town centre closed early - fact) plus the kind Fev fan saving my bacon from a possible confrontation with these thgs when he told me to put my flag away on my way to my coach just after poor David's kicking!
So you say I am not welcome at Post Office Road, says it all really glad I won't be there as while most clubs have some poor fans even we have a FEW but proportionately Fev have the most!

Ring Warrington CID and ask them if anyone is covering up i think you will be surprised at there answer, its not easy to get a conviction in this country without solid evidence someone ringing up and giving a name is NOT EVIDENCE.

Re the CCTV footage - it isn't clear which supporters the coaches driving past were carrying.
Re 2 seasons ago at the shay, been stood on a level with Fev supporters I can't say whether or not things were thrown from further up the stand (I was looking at the pitch and talking to friends until trouble caught my attention - so not saying there wasn't any provocation) - what I did see was Fev fans mouthing off at Fax fans walking back up to the stand, Fax fans having something to say back then a Fev supporter throwing punches - to be fair to those around him they put him in the middle of the group where he couldn't cause trouble and they kept him there. Until the end of the game when he got on the pitch. That is just 1 idiot but that is what people remember and is the generalised. That is the reason that I sit in the East Stand - I know there are Fax fans that would retaliate and fight back and I don't want to be there when it does.

The problem is this is still fresh in everyones minds and there will be media interest in this fixture cos of what happened. BOTH sets of fans need to realise that and use these fixtures going forward to show that RL is a friendly game and that fans can mix without trouble. However with idiots following both that's difficult.
