Exactly, thank you, in fact if you want a club at all you have to pay full stop.
All this sheite about it was bad last year so why do we have to pay more this year shows a complete lack of financial understanding.
It's a different competition this year, it will be tougher and it has to be financed.
Went in for my season ticket this morning, a full office staff plus top man volunteer, no revenue coming into the club until February (I bet our directors are still funding) and yet the bills will still be coming in.
Think about it, support this new season, lets start positive and at least wait until week one before some of us moan.

| To be honest the rugby was awful, but we did finish 3rd so it wasn't really a bad season even though i do feel that we should have finished higher.

I guess if you don't want to take that bet, I'll just make the pledge to donate if we haven't improved, it's a win win.

Angry response, what are you talking about, oh hang on, you're not speaking again until september 2015 are you now ?

I wouldn't know if or how Fev staff will be full or part time, you're asking the wrong person John. To answer your question, I think Andy Hay will improve Fev, they've had several coaches in charge of them over the last couple of years, that sort of thing de-stabilises the patterns of play, training session, game preparation etc.

Unfortunately, my witty sarcasm passed you by on this occassion. Unless you forget something & have to go home again, one only "turns up" for a game the once.
Anyway, back on topic, next season, as always, i'll pick & choose which fixtures home & away that i attend as has been the case for many seasons. Like i've been doing since oooooh, around 1969/70 home & away obviously

Lol.
Oh go on then, I'll talk sooner.
Capital letters donate shouting , you implied I'm puddles and ignoring the fact that Bulls and Broncos are in our league.
That aside, I still think we'll improve.
Back on thread.
Having given it a while to consider things, whilst I think a price rise might put off casual fans, I understand the board's difficult position in trying to balance the books.
As poor this season was, I'm already missing going to games.

| Personally I think the offer to be able to purchase at last seasons prices, plus other incentives, was a smart move by the BOD and will save money for those who go regularly whilst giving the club much needed cashflow at a difficult time of the year for the club re limted revenue.
I agree that there is a chance that the casual supporter may think a little harder now but I think the key driver there will be the product on the field for them to go. As I have posted before, Fax are in the entertainment industry winning games and playing entertaining rugby will help snare those casuals.
The club's Directors can't forever have the price held at £15 for the South stand for example-it's simply not commercially viable- and a price increase, after freezing the price previously, was inevitable.
The whole dynamics of our league has changed now with new teams joining us from SL, a return to a tradionally fantastic local derby with the Bulls, a (remote) chance of promotion next season for the first time in years and also some new faces in the team other than those just keep circulating around the championship clubs. Add a new coach with 21st century ideas and I think we have grounds for something to look forward to.
Make no mistake this league is going to be massively competitive next season, with much closer results-some will win and some we will lose- along with some blow out results as well.
I have bought 2 season tickets for the first time in a long time and will be supporting the side whatever next season brings.

Absolutely brilliant.
It could have been me saying that.
I sincerely do not wish to offend anyone, but, for all those who were "upset" about £2 a fortnight, keep reding this post.

| Yep no complaints from me either, costs need to be covered. Let's just hope the coach, players and BOD can get the feel good factor back and build from there. Blackmailing disgruntled stay aways doesn't work.
I'll be getting my season ticket for next season.

| No surprise that season ticket sales have gone up, the price increase was never going to decrease ST sales as its the hardcore supporters that buys them and there is more incentive now the cost savings are there. The price increase will be felt next season when more casual fans stay away.

| I appreciate your view point Nat, after all that's what a democratic forum is all about.
If we fail to deliver on the field then you may well have a case but I am a great beliver in 'success breeds success' and that is the culture the BOD, coaching staff and players need to bring to the table now in order for those casuals you don't think will turn up , to change their minds.
Only time will tell as the season unfolds and home attendances are recorded.

| My opinion is mainly based on my own experiences, I used to stand in a group of 20 people, at times last season there were 3 people including myself. When I speak to some of those people the primary reason they give is the cost. In their words why should they pay £70 to watch a Fax game for 2/3 hours when they could have a full family day out at any number of places, evening meal and a few pints in the pub for the same or even less. It might only be £2 a ticket, but it makes an already expensive ticket even more expensive. You can't compare it to Bradford or other teams, you have to compare it to events in general.
Apart from that how am I supposed to convince a friend to come to a game, as a social event, when we could go bowling and then have a few pints and still have money left over?

| A few pints? And bowling? It cost me £15 in 2014 to watch a Fax home game. Where on earth could I have gone bowling and had a "few" pints for £15?

| OK. Bit of research and I can have 2 games of bowling and two pints. And then I'd have to walk home cos I've no money left for a taxi or bus fare.
I'd rather watch Halifax RLFC.
I can't lift the heavy bowling balls anyway.
