Perhaps there is a bigger picture?
Think about it?
Karl said at the pre season presentation that it would be imposible to finish 2nd this year due to some clubs breaking the salary cap.
So perhaps our plan is for next year,
Loan our young players out this year to get first team experience and then they will be ready for next year.
2nd was never an option, what we need now is "FANS" to get behind the club.'"
Please tell me you're not comparing KH'S reign at Halifax with that of Sir Alex Ferguson at Man United (I'm a Liverpool fan by the way, not Man Utd).
I have agreed with many of your posts on here John but seriously, I hope that was said tongue in cheek!!
Our plan being for next year simply makes no sense. The money for 1st and 2nd is for this year to enable a couple of Championship teams to try and compete with the two SL teams that come down. Surely the plan should be for this year??
I've followed my club through the best and worst times over the last 35 years and I always try and stay positive but Its really testing me right now.
No excitement is probably the main problem. We cannot play our way out of trouble in a game anymore and teams have realised this.
I'm not looking for an argument, we are all Fax fans and want the best for the club, can we honestly say right now that what is happening is best for the club?

The bit that gets me John is on the early few games of this year there was a post on Facebook and Ian croad the director told us that Rhino had been told that he MUST get in the top 2 and grand final appearance and nothing less would be expected, my comment was, can I remind you of that at the end of the season, absolutely was the reply. I've spent over a grand this year on 2 adult season tickets, junior ST shirts and so far 3 dining packages for the family, I absolutely without question will not do this next year. The way we play is so boring, the players don't seem motivated, up for it mentally or physically, every coach brings his own team with him and rhinos isn't up to the task. Half way through the season and we are in 4th 7 points below 2nd and no signs at all of improvement, just desperation at this stage, how an earth are we ever going to compete with attracting the right players when Fev and Leigh are snapping them all up, if you were a player where would your ambitions be ?.

Unfortunately there will be no chance next year, Bradford and London with full time teams and a parachute payment, then Leigh and Fev with increased payments due to finishing 1st and 2nd also able to run full time teams, then there will be us and the rest

| I haven't missed a home game for almost 13 years, I take my main holiday after the season has finished or when we have a 2 week break from home games. I still don't understand all the rules and many technicalities are a mystery.
However, I do appreciate exciting rugby and know that at the minute we are very often boring!
I may take my holiday before the end of this season.
Says it all really.

| Amazing how low our standards are now. People are celebrating a close loss against a Leigh team ravaged by injuries and backing up from an intense game against SL opposition. Half way through the season and we have as many bonus points as we do wins. Take away the bonus points and we are in 7th/8th place, 2/2 spots above the relegation places. We are so poor, Harrison simply has to go.

| Sunday will tell us a lot about Karl and his tactics as we need a good show but none of us will expect one as we have got used to not being able to play for 80 minutes and a team that can't put the opposition to bed.
How much longer will the Board not see that we are on the verge of sinking down with no offence the lesser lights and getting left behind, I fear for the club right now I really do, feels a bit like Oldham which is terrifying.

| Sorry but I cant understand his thinking or tactics again. With respect Brown and Mennell as starting 6 and 7? And its a poor do when we cant beat Leigh who must be tired mentally and physically from the weekend. Sorry but I see it as 3 points lost no matter what spin Harrison or others put on it. Frankly the way the team play and how we play is very poor and simply not good enough.

| VERY close to winning tonight, one helluva wicked bounce of the ball for Wilkes try that made it 24-24, then Potts looked certain to score with a few minutes left, but then a superb tackle, forces him into touch. We were there for the taking tonight, and it nearly happened.

No consolation we are nobodies this year, we are relying on the dreaded bonus point to keep our interest, why drop Johnson in such an important match???
