So we've binned the reserves because of financial reasons, but we've kept the coaches on and we've brought in another assistant coach in Sheriffe. And the previous reserve players are still on contracts with the club.

I don't see where we've saved money here other than coach hire, stewards and game bonus payments.

Not to mention that we announced Muzza as assistant coach last season. I guess that’s not happening now. The reality is it probably won’t save the club any money as the drop in funding as people no longer put money in will see to that.

It’s not only about money which everyone knows is tight and will no doubt get tighter when Super Greed take even more of the central funding, the clubs that cut their cloth accordingly now will be better placed when that happens.

An alternative analysis could be.

After much thought and careful scrutiny of how the club currently stands, problems with player availability and the potential welfare of those who are available and with the need for the first team squad to be as competitive as possible it is with great reluctance that at this point in time HRLFC have taken the difficult decision not to run a reserve team in the 2020 season until further notice.

Back on topic. Keyes won't be joining us, he's one of five bulls signed by HKR who are in a DR arrangement with Dewsbury whose chairman has just bought a stake in the bulls alongside Batley's chairman.

So they will all play for the Bulls via DR to a club who will then loan them out to another club. That makes sense

Needs to step up next year.Seems he came with the attitude that it would be easy having stepped down from the corruption league.

Not a new signing and watching him play last season didn’t really enhance the team at all on the pitch. I hope his brother gives him a royal kick up the aris so he gives the best he has.

Mick, it quite obviously is but this is Rugby League 2019, corrupt to the hilt. As for Fax we've yet to get season tickets. I keep trying to find out if we are having DR, if so with who. What s happening with Tangata, how many assistant coaches we're having? The whole job is a mess and drains you of enthusiasm for the game. We can just wait to see what occurs. See you in December?
