Sadly no one at King Cross Park ready to step up and I think the same could be said about the other two teams.
I was informed yesterday that Irish have had to pack in their second team and KCP had only 13 men for the first team so that the second team could play.

Mind you, KCPark under 9's have six or seven very promising stars. Halifaxjohngrandson, the new Penky, littlerich take note.

In this weeks press the only thing mentioned apart from what we allready know was a follow on from the lad joining from Salford was that Fax could have some additional younger players coming on board in the future.

Tom Saxton has been mentioned before and I heard it could be linked to Rovers looking to go full time and Tommy not really wanting that.

This was before the recent developmnets with the new proposals and with that being on hold it could have an effect.

i remember fax going full time and mark preston not wanting to. so he was unloaded, never understood why as if he stayed part time he would still have left them for dead.

Your right about Mark but Wigans loss was our gain, on his day he was worth the admition money on his own.

Who will ever forget Wakey away when he put Warren Wilson in or HKR at home with his in and out weaving run across the field, dummy to Bentley and in at the corner.

Got the league weekly today and it mentions we may have missed out on the former Warrington half back Will Milner who now looks like going to Huddersfield on a 1 year deal.

It is mentioned that Fax have offered trials to Josh Casey who has been released by Bradford Bulls.

Both these young men were offered scholarships at Halifax in their early teens & declined the offer to go to Bradford Bulls, i wish them both well in their futures.
